Ah I'm really loving my Coco Shine, but it only lasts an hour on my lips :/ Admittedly I've just been wearing it on its own so maybe pairing it with a lipliner might help. I want to buy more but am wondering if it's worth it because of the wear time.

Elegant, that is exactly what Jeff built me from beautiful blonde maple.. an Amish chest of drawers.. various really, and all handmade and hand polished.. gorgeous. I would not want to price that thing on the market.. whew! But it is so useful for all my personal mu.
I know...she is soooo bad...

That blonde drawer sounds beautiful! I love furniture like that. A precious one of a kind piece with special memories

I posted this earlier - the new Dior & Shiseido ones are the same way - its just the nature of these Balmy kind of lipsticks. Shiseido ones have a little more pigmentation, the Dior ones are beautiful colors but basically they are all the same kind of ls.

only Jeff would have made this for me... it is so so special, when I sell the house all of the cabinetry in my dressing room is being taken out and reinstalled in the new place -- err, one full bedroom is being converted.. lol.

today I tested the new ls shines.. over a matching lipstain and they held up for a long time -- thru lunch and yakkin

yes, I would keep the cabinetry for sure.

well thats good to know about the stain - I will try that, geesh. especially if it lasts through yakking

yea.. lol that kind of clinched it for me too.

try to use a colour stain that is lighter but in the same family -- that way the true colour/texture of the ls gloss will show thru

I haven't gotten my Coco Shines yet (waiting until Monday . . .) -- but I put on my Dior today and ran errands and timed it. I was gone 3 hours and my lipstick was still looking pretty good. I did use a liner and very lightly filled in my lips. So hopefully the Coco Shines last as long on me!

Chance does not look that great by itself on my mauvey lips, so today I wore it with Chanel Natural lipliner and LOVED it. I do think the liner made it last longer too.

I've been wearing my Coco Shines with lipliner but it really doesn't help it last any longer. The shine is still gone in about an hour. I know these are supposed to be moisturizing but I would swear they make my lips feel drier. IMO, no way are these worth $32.

Thankfully, I don't have that longevity problem with my lip shine. It wears very well for me. At least 3 hours (on it's own, without eating). I want to pick up another tomorrow. I'm thinking of Monte-Carlo, Liberte, or Boy. I realize I don't have many subtle colors to wear when I do bolder eye looks(which is most of the time). I wonder if Chance would be too jarring against my skin? Of course, all of this will fly out the window if I spot the new collection!

well I have a new product which is not to market yet.. and that damn thing should have been put out before these balmy/ls were put out -- or with it.. but no, the creative directors are being pushed by the bean counters and this is the mayhem.

this product lines your lips invisibly and you can also invisibly (like a primer but it seeps into the lip) holds onto whatever product you are using.. it is supposed to be for the new matte lips for fall/winter 2012.. but it would be perfect for now.

Aw ladies thanks so much! I've been playing with them and really love them even though they dont last long. Must resist getting Monte Carlo and Adventure. I love lipsticks! Next thing to get are Bobbi brown rich colour lipsticks. Anyone tried them?

Thanks for all the advice guys - I think I'll try a stain and possibly a lip liner too, see what difference it makes. Her Greyness - that product sounds awesome! I'm also wanting to try one of the BB rich lip colors, I think I've been infected...

He he, talk about out of control, I sneaked of the the cosmetics department while my hubby and son were looking at toys. I wanted to get a BB lipstick but they didn't have them yet, somehow I wandered over to the Chanel counter and left with Monte Carlo RCS.

We are addicted and out of control
