My daughter (who's still awake, lol!) says thank-you! And this is for you

(her pick again!)

Ya, I'm thinking I'll probably pick Pensee. The name escapes me right now, but I have the pink glossimer from the holiday collection and looove it, so that may be reason enough not to buy another pink, but we'll see! I think what's throwing me off right now is that someone descriped Pink Peony as a mauvey pink. Everytime I post about PP, I wanna go to the flower shop and pick up a few peonies to throw in a vase! Maybe I will this weekend. I've done tulips for the last three weeks, time to change it up!

so funny, I almost picked that one instead for her ;)

hmmm, it didn't seem mauvey. Both are sheer - but all 3 are really really dimensional & pretty. Beautiful over ls.

I love tulips too. I just did a bouquet of all white ones on my dining room table. Now I have green & white mum bunches & 3 large white/green spider mums. I had pink/rose roses last time.

Nora -- can't wait for you to get your goodies. I just ordered mine today and I probably won't get them until next Wednesday . . . why does it take so long?? Hope your little one gets to feeling better soon!

Thanks Michelle! He's been home for three days, I was home with him today and gotta say, while I don't like to see him sick, we had a nice day together.

Elegant, I adore roses, but the store I normally get my flowers from has slim pickings with roses.

I'm off to bed, but will let you all know my thoughts on this collection tomorrow. I'm so excited!

elegant - thanks for the beautiful pics! I missed out reading the previous page lol. Both bronzers look gorgeous, but I don't know if I should get both. I hate to give one of them less love/ignore it if I own both. Is the coral one dark on you or need to be applied lightly? How about the rose one? If pressed, which one would you choose?

Rachel - enjoy your new goodies! So exciting! Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Nora - congrats on ordering! Can't wait for you to get them too!

More Glossimer reviews. Yet again the love for Pensee and Aurore. I think I may have to cave.

Now to decide on the bronzer and Morning Rose. I swore I wasn't going to get any more Chanel n/p at $25 a pop but it's gorgeous! I'm also MAD in love with Miami Peach but it's NM exclusive so I can't get it from my SA and I can't order it online because they charge an extra $10 for shipping nail polishes from NM GRRR

OH yeah and I still have to decide on Rose Platine. I wish I knew more about it and if in practice it would really be worth it. I don't even use pencil eyeliner but this sounds neat? But would I use it?

OK I did it!! My Chanel SA just called to tell me she put their LAST Bronze Rose on hold for me and I decided to go ahead and finalize my order. I told her NO to Bronze Rose LOL. I had to make myself say no to something!!! I ended up ordering:

Lilium quad
Rose Platine Liner
Pensee and Aurore Glossimers
Morning Rose n/p

Hmm OK that really doesn't sound like I exercised much control but I at least I said no to the bronzer! Of course now it's going to eat at me *sigh*

I also just put in a NM order of LMdB stuff and the Misia RC Shine. I wish I could have ordered Miami Peach but I refuse to pay an extra $10 to ship it because it's flammable. $35 for a np is just crazy!

Saw the collection on Chanel's website. Didn't know they are repromoting Gardenia and Sari Dore RC and Sunkissed soleil tan de chanel. I like to mix Sunkissed with my foundation. The quad and duo aren't labelled LE but I thought they are? On the other hand, the RC aren't LE but they are labelled?

I think that if you like Taupe on or around your eyes, then you'll like it. Its a pretty color. Its not as "highlighty" a color as was described elsewhere....I'm sure you can sheer it, but it def. has some depth of Taupe to it. It reminds me of a kinda lighter MAC Dirty GPS eyeliner with some silvery color to it.

EDIT - Dirty is much darker. But its really close to MAC's Gilded Ash es but a little warmer Taupe & more silver

There are 2 lipsticks being repromoted with the collection - Sari dore and Gardenia...maybe one of those topped with a glossimer? Or maybe one of the glossimers or even an RAEdG over the peach lipliner from the spring collection? They're pretty good about giving you the breakdown of the look if you e-mail them thru the web site.

Gardenia was LE and exclusive to NM (or was it Saks?) here in the US last year. Not sure about Sari dore, but I think maybe Chanel.com called it an exclusive to them last year? The quad is not marked LE on that chart Karla posted:

^ Her swatch of Rose Platine is pretty accurate color wise in that pic.
Thanks Elegant! I don't have the MAC liners to compare with but it's a huge help know those pics are accurate GAH!!! I'd seen those pics before but now looking at them again makes me regret not getting Bronze Rose! I wonder if I can hold out until she sells her last one LOL.
Hmm liner looks pretty metallic but I don't own a single eye liner pencil so I guess we'll see what I think ;-)

Oh I forgot about Sari Dore and Gardenia. I need to go on a 3 month no buy already after the crazy amount of shopping I've done the last couple weeks but mmmm I love my RCs and actually don't have those :-(

Her camera is probably making it appear more shimmery than its actually is. It does have shimmer but didn't seem overly metallic in person. Those waterproof eyeliners are amazing. They really stay put even on the waterline.

Gardenia is a pretty kind of warm vintage slight peached pink rose color.

Too bad you can't see everything in person ;) or maybe thats better lol

LOL you know what, I think it would be worse for me and better for my wallet to see things in person. The couple times I've been to the counter I get totally overwhelmed and can't focus on anything. As frustrating as it is trying to find the pictures and info online I think at times it's been more reliable (than store lighting for instance) and it's also gotten me to take a chance on some things I may not have tried if I'd seen IRL first.

Oooohh...I just tried the Rose bronzer on the left cheekbone & Coral on the right
love.gif
both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the pan, I ran the brush from front to back & then a slight 2nd brush back on the first color (Rose or Coral) & then went from apples of the cheek back - that way the main color was on my cheeks & the bronzer colors on the cheekbone - if that makes sense. My cheeks had a beautiful flush of color & looked sculpted.

The Rose gives a beautiful light rose flush & the Coral is a really pretty golden warm peach, Neither are brownish or muddy on. The color is very buildable without ever turning muddy.

I am so happy that I bought both. They are beautiful on guys.
