Oh, and the sleeper star in the Glossimers is Aurore. I was all set to get Pensee... then swatched Aurore... and exchanged one for the other. Two other women at the Nordies counter with me today did the exact same thing.

I'm such a bad influence.

Can I ask why you choose the Aurore? I'm gonna order online and I think I want Pesee, but now I'm not so sure

Re: Sales tax -- it depends on the state. Many (if not most) U.S. states require companies to collect sales tax if they do business in the state. (A couple states have no sales tax entirely.)

Amazon just closed a distribution center here in Texas because the state was trying to force it to collect sales tax from all customers in Texas. And companies have been yanking affiliate programs in states that consider affiliate programs "doing business" in the state. Here in Texas, the customers are supposed to pay the sales tax to the state themselves, but no one ever actually does that. :)

My guess is that if someone is being charged tax on Chanel.com, it is because Chanel has something in that state -- a warehouse or offices.

As for the summer collection.... I haven't decided! I may just wait until it gets to the slow Macy's counter here, because gas is really too expensive to make the trip into Dallas to go to Nordie's just to buy makeup. I'm waffling on the quad, and I'm seriously rethinking Mimosa because I heard it's trouble to apply. Depending on how sheer the glossimers turn out, I may pass on those too -- I have so many sheer glossimers already!

I shall have to see how I feel once I see everything. I did make a huge Sephora haul (hello, ridiculous number of Illamasqua products, UD BoS III and MUFE Moulin Rouge) with the VIB code, so, really, I should just pass on this collection. (Yeah right!)

Almus, I will definitely post some swatches of the duo - my MUA said it's seriously pretty, and I think it's LE, so it will likely come home with me.....

Sailordom, I must check out the UD BoS III - I'm behind the times!! I really love the 24/7 shadow liner I got (in Rehab) - I may be making a second trip to Sephora.com for the extra 15% off.....

It's good that you have a 'slow Macy's counter' as it gives you a chance to hear what everyone has to say before committing......plus you can probably get stuff that sells out everywhere else. That's what I used to do with mine, but they took Chanel out back in January, so I'm relegated to traveling for my Chanel now.......

Hope you love your Sephora haul!!

Aurore is seriously pretty - its unlike anything that I can think of. Pensee is too - yummy looking sparkling coral

Michelle Aurore would look lovely over some of your pink lipsticks
the rose platine is a repro?

looks way familiar.. lol
It reminds me of Wolf Pearlglide Liner from the swatches I have seen. Rose Platine might even be nice than Wolf already is.
Looking forward to your review. The swatches I have seen so far are gorgeous and the quad is crawling on list :poke: I wonder what the formula here will be like...

I am getting more excited about it! It looks like such a gorgeous gloss for summer. Chanel does the best multi colored fine shimmer

Now I am wondering about that eye pencil . . .

I skipped Wolf. I want Rose Platine! I wish we can get the collection sooner. I will try to ask the SA if they know when it is launching.

LOL All the excitement over ordering Rose Platine had me dig out the only other pencil liner I own. A 2.5" stub of Elizabeth Arden Bronze. It used to be a HG for me. I still love it. I hope I haven't now added ordering a million unique pencil liners to my already ridiculously serious makeup addiction problem

I hold you all responsible!

^^ Thanks, I think I'll like Rose Platine more! I love silvery taupe colours. Can't wait to hear your thoughts when your goodies arrive! :)

The other time I put a link up on Mimosa and the blogger said the formula is difficult to work with. However, she tried it again with a top coat before applying Mimosa and it worked.

ok, I just watched the video for the Dior bronzer & I must honestly say - it looks rather bland & boring compared to the Chanel - at least in the video. just my humble opinion. The Chanel bronzers are more dimensional & are more like a blushy bronzer. This is from someone who is not a big lover of bronzers ;)

I'm pleased to hear that because I plan on passing the Dior bronzers. I'll be keeping a close watch here on Tuesday! :)
