Building a MAC collection!

hi everyone! How are you! I'm new to MAC and just starting to collect. I currently have yogurt, shale, print, nocturnelle, plum dressing, beautiful iris, and coppering. I have a gift card to choose 6 new shadows. What colors can you suggest for me? Is this the right place to ask? Thank you!

Hi Mandyfin and WELCOME TO SPECKTRA!

I love the colours you've selected- a gorgeous mix of shades. Mac do some excellent basics as well that can be really helpful. Here are a couple of suggestions:

Dazzlelight- Really nice highlighter, not quite white and has an excellent texture (it's a veluxe pearl finish, like Plum Dressing and Coppering)
Carbon- Matte black and goes with everything. You can mix it with colours to make them darker, use it to deepen the outer corners of your eyes, or simply use it as a basic black shade.
Satin Taupe- I recommend this to everyone. It's a deep taupe shade with a bit of a silvery sheen. It's a stunning colour and, again, goes with almost any look. Along with carbon, it makes a fantastic smoky eye.

As far as other products- lips, cheeks, face- are there any particular shades you're looking for? We're all happy to provide recommendations here.

Thank you! I'm going through all the shadows making a list, I will need some help narrowing it down. I have up the amp, pink nouveau, and the new berry color in lipsticks. I have a purple obsession and MAC has so many! I am blonde with pale pinky skin and big hazel green eyes. Do any of aqua shadows work for me? I'm looking at steamy, aqua, and aquadisiac. All the browns look similar to me and I always need more purples and green and pink!:eyelove:

I really love the Stars N Rockets eyeshadow. Looks pink, but has a purple opalescent effect. I liked Humid (hunter green) as well.

Thank you! I'm going to grab some of these! Could you please recommend a green, a brown, and a pink? I was thinking of plumage, humid, some of the aquas or olive greens? Sushi flower or swish or cranberry? Passionate? I have green hazel eyes. Thanks!

black tied is more glittery. carbon is matte, and i think typographic isnt as dark?
