How much planning can one woman do?

Hey guys!

I thought i'd post this to see who else is crazy with planning! Now I am very organised. I like making sure that I have my day all planned out, i do chores early so that i have the rest of the day to myself and such. But my hubby has been telling me that i've gone crazy with planning over the past few years! And after today I think I agree with him!

We are going to Florida next year and booked everything back in December - quite far in advance right?! Well now I have gone so far as planning what resturant to eat in each day! When I tried showing Nick my plans he just laughed and told me I was crazy to plan in such detail already!

Do any of you guys plan everything really early? I guess it helps me get more excited about things if I plan in advance!

I think the one part of my life that I'm organised with is makeup purchases - I started to make lists on Excel so I can keep track of what I want and when I go shopping I make a list on my phone of the makeup I want to buy and swatch

hee hee! i guess i am like that because i don't get much time off so therefore never like to waste my day. hubby jokes that soon i will be planning peoples toilet breaks and stuff though! lol!

and yeah i guess everybody on here plans there make up purchases with military precision!

Oh btw I bought NARS Laguna illuminator yesterday and I asked the MUA about the trio thats coming out and she said its released on May 1st but she could sell it to me now - thankfully I never had the money to buy it there and than. She showed me it and although it is pretty I don't know if I'd use all the products in there :/ and I don't want to spend THAT much money on something I might not wear!

lol!! nah i won't plan out loo breaks! don't worry!! although today i did another classic example as to why i am stupid with planning! i planned what shops to go in when me and nick were in town today - i can never just go with the flow! and even plan what route to take so that we don't double back on ourselves! i need help right?!

oh and that is great about the nars trio! which product do you think you won't use? i already have orgasm and love it. albatross looks lovely but laguna is the bit i may not use - i'm nc20 so pretty light skinned. i fear it may be a little dark? and what do you think of the illuminator? i want the one in copacabana!

I find that I get more organised the less time I have, so I completely sympathise with you're wanting to get the most out of your free time. I wish I were better at it, actually. Since I'm working from home at the moment, I find I let way too many things slide because, after all, I have all the time in the world.

FYI, I tried the Copacabana Illuminator and, while I liked it, the effect was very subtle. I didn't really like the effect of the illuminator used on its own, because I found it made my pores more obvious (I found the same thing with Benefit's High Beam). When I mixed in a little, it gave a very subtle effect. If I mixed in enough for a more pronounced effect, I fonud it made me look a little scary white- like I was one of those reflective signs by the side of the highway.

The MUA used Laguna on me when I got my NARS makeover and I'm undecided about it. It sculpted my cheekbones perfectly the way she applied it, but it is dark, so it's the sort of thing that's going to get noticed if I wear it during the day. Here's a pic (it wasn't quite as obvious as it looks here- I just wanted to choose something that showed it clearly):

oohh Kate is actually think it looks quite nice on you and good for a contour! Maybe you can buff it out with a kabuki a little more for the day time? but i think it looks great! if you can pull it off then so can i right?! hhhmm i actually have the high beam by benefit - does it look similar to copacabana or just perform the same?

I got a sample of Copacabana! I actually kinda prefer it to Laguna :/ just because when I mix Laguma into my foundation it just leaves a bit of glitter but copacabana leaves shimmer - which I love! I definitley think you should try it out - I'm kicking myself for not getting Copacabana but I just assumed it was for paler ladies!

I have heard Orgasm is great but the darker the skin gets the harder it is to see which is why I'm undecided about it :/ Maybe you can try Laguna with a fan brush? To make sure you don't pick up alot of product. Albatross did look pretty but I never had time to swatch.

Oh and btw I plan out my town journeys! (Who doesn't?) lol I always do them in my head though so I'm not seen as crazy!

^Laguna looks great on you! Lguna is dark even on my skin but you can sheer it out but when you do, I find the shimmer is gone leaving small particles of glitter :/

When I mixed Laguna with my foundation I found it too subtle also - I had to go back and highlight with Copacabana.
