Early Buzz Regarding MAC Collections/Products Coming in 2011 - Discussion

I'm loving the shades, i'll pick a few when they come out in the uk.

Thunder & Rain is very pretty, but I'm not sure if I'll get it. I passed on all the trios from last year (although they're still mostly available on the web site) and I don't know if I really need the colours, or if I'm just excited because they're something new to look at. I was at my Pro location today and they didn't have them in store yet.

I like Heaven and Earth. I don't have a black shadow and this one looks good. The formula of last year's MES were good and glitter free, and I loved that. Glad something similar is back. I feel like they should be perm. Some of the other regulars were DC'd

the names of the colors are cute. loved sea and sky for the name as well as the color. i have togetherness from in the groove and i love it, but rarely use the light silver in the middls. but the purple and the grey are the ish. I need a little more of those colors in my makeup life. with fix + they look amazing on.

side note, doesn't prim and proper look like it could be a blush?

yes i feel the same way - i think they are lovely but i don't think i will buy. at least not for a long time anyway. i hve a year to decide right!?

I'm not sure that I will get any of the MES, I actually used my Cool Calm and Collected MES from In the Groove and it is pretty shite. I get hardly any colour payoff with it, so annoying. At least these are duos rather than trios and you can actually get your brush in the shade you want unlike the ITG trios where the middle shade was too thin really.

Money is tight so MAC really needs to come up with something brilliant at this point, New totally different Pigments, more metal shadows or some of the best of past things like Queen's Sin, Rebel Rock Blue Pigment, etc. to get me excited. It's sad but true.I'm just feeling kind of let down after Style Black, Spring last year and Peacocky.

yes - this is very true! i keep soedning more cash on other brands than mac at the moment

They are identical to some of the In The Groove ones, so I don't actually need to buy these, since I have all the ITG shadows. Phew! Funny thing is, I got so excited about the pretty colours and it turns out I already have them. Just shows how rarely I use my stuff. :S

^ don't be silly 2browneyes.. ITG ES pigmentation was pitiful.. and don't think you have to have something from each collex.. some are really not that great and quite passable.

if the pigmentation of these is similar to ITG, they will be another epic fail for MAC powders.

That is so true !! Even though alot of us are makeup addicts we can still pass on some things. . .its okay !

yeah i agree with this. i always used to think that i had to have something from every collection. now i am ok with passing on things that i know i won't use - it frees up more money for other brands!

that said i always wanted blue my mind from itg! maybe i can get this version?

I missed almost everything from ITG, only got the Style influencer e/s, so I'm foaming at the mouth at a second chance with a few of these!
