I'm literally dying here. I need information. Color story. Photos. Something. Come on MAC. You are doing a disservice to your MAC addicts by holding back so much information. We deserve to know!!! And want to know!!!

Come on MAC, what's up with the Fall/Winter collection?

I saw this piece of info in a forum. I don't know how reliable the post is but I thought I'd repost it here. I think this will be their designer (read: expensive) collection (Marcel Wanders, Baroque Boudoir, Monogram and the like).

Today, M·A·C Cosmetics confirmed an upcoming collaboration with designer, Gareth Pugh. The brand will celebrate the partnership with Gareth next month at a cocktail party in New York City in anticipation of the global launch starting November 2011. The collection will include multiple color products and accessories in special packaging. M·A·C has supported Gareth since he first began showing his collections nearly seven years ago.

Thanks for the info Rezel. I thought we were getting a Daphne Guinness (sp?) collection in the Fall? Maybe we still are since HerGreyness mentioned it herself and she has the knows into the upcoming collections. Maybe Gareth Pugh (whom I never heard of) is, like it's mentioned, for the more expensive stuff and Daphne will be more affordable. At least I hope so.

I would actually just like to know what collection is having the Prince Noir lipstick in it?????

You're welcome, OctoberViolet. Or it can be the other way around also, with Daphne's being the expensive one since she's an heiress. Haha! I had to google Gareth Pugh also. He's an English fashion designer.

The name Gareth Pugh means nothing to me, and I'm English!

I suppose he's probably well known in certain circles, but not in mine. I bet none of my friends have heard of him either.

Me neither. Although I'm not English, but I've lived in the UK for 12 years. ;)

I cannot image Pugh being so more expensive collection, especially as he is such a young designer.

I do know the name, but that's all. I can't afford designer clothes.
But I'm looking forward to this collection, hopefully there are great products, the colours of Marcel Wanders just weren't for me.
I can imagine the packaging will look great.

For all you ladies not familiar with Gareth Pugh - now that McQueen has passed on and Galliano's been demoted in shame for racist insanity, Gareth Pugh is one of our top avant guard designers left. Uses a lot of origami-like construction out of leather and shiny metallic materials, so I'd keep that in mind for the packaging.

He's also famous for using really stark and outrageous makeups on his male and female models - so don't be surprised to see stark black or white or metallic lips and heavy thick eye makeup. Alternately, there might be really off the wall bright colors where they don't "belong" - all you craving some green lipstick might get your wish. Needless to say, I'm super-excited for this collection!

My dream is to own one of his amazing leather pieces, but they're pretty hard to come by, even in L.A.

Fall 2008 was my hands-down favorite collection of his:
