Chanel lipsticks - Rouge Coco, Rouge Allure, etc.

Glossimers are what got me hooked on Chanel. They have a great texture -- not sticky like MAC lipglass. Some are more pigmented than others -- but the shimmer is very fine and beautiful. They are pretty on their own or over lipsticks. I seriously have "a thing" for them! I tooks pics of my collection a while back . . . I can't even remember which thread I posted them in LOL I know Shypo has posted pics of hers, also. I also love the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss (they *really* need to expand the shades). These are more pigmented and not as shimmery.

Hmm...now i have another question about the glossimers! Are they all just limited editions? I was looking at some swatches online and on the Chanel site I could not find colours like Venus and Nebula. Are those already gone and something new out there instead? Sorry for all the questions but I am a complete newbie to Chanel!

They're not all LE, but some are/were, including the two you mention. Sometimes you can still find older LEs at Bloomingdales online but those are not there as I just checked. I have not bought anything but some people here have purchased older LE items from izzysbeautyshoppe.com and I've had good luck with strawberrynet.com -- they carry Euro/Asia/Canada versions of JCs rather than US, and they have Unique and Flying Cloud RC Shines if anyone is looking for those. Both izzy's and strawberrynet have Venus but neither has Nebula unless I missed it.

^ don't know Winthrop.. it is an RCs -- but I think it's like Unique.. limited to certain countries. My ebay dealer sent me a pic and asked it I wanted it.. lol.

Premice should be at my counters, but I think the last time I visited 2 of them, they were out of stocks so it was removed from the displayer. I remember swatching it when the shines were launched. I can't remember how it looked but this is from the brochure I got. It looks like a brown rose here - 8th from the left.
Well, I went to Nordstrom and played at the Chanel counter. The lady was extremely nice and helpful and seemed to be having as much fun as I was! Some things that I ordered directly through Chanel (coming tomorrow) were not even there, and others I thought I would like I didn't (my lips are rather mauve and certain lipsticks get lost on me) and others I didn't think I would like I ended up loving.
So, today I got RA in Crazed, Confidentelle, Comedia and RC in Legende. LOVE the formulas and have more colours I want! lol 3 Glossimers in Imaginaire, Pink Teaser and Rose Dilemma. Then I melted when I saw the quad in Enigma, so had to get that too. I'll put a haul up tomorrow in the haul section once everything has arrived. Now I want more lipsticks in both RC and RA, a blush, more e/s quads. Shame on me. I have been converted. Oh, and some Chanel #19, which I loved and took a bath in before leaving the store. Hehehe.....

So pleased that Jac is the model again, I'm obsessed with her right now. She looks so beautiful in all the chanel promos. I want to check out the red, pink and beige l/s. Fingers crossed that they are moisturizing. And there will be 3 complementary nail polishes and all 3 looks like colours I love! I've never heard of Pirate though, when was it previously launched?
I'm curious to see if I'd like the matte texture. I usually found them looking odd on my lips. I must say it sounds promising!

Enjoy your haul ElvenEyes - it sounds wonderful! My lips are mauvey too so I know what you mean and Confidentielle is one of my favorites.

Chanel # 19 was one of my first perfumes - my mother gave it to me when I was 17. I still wear Allure in winter - Chanel scents are lovely!

I love Confidentielle and Comedia! The RA's are the best for me! Love the color of Legende -- so gorgeous. I got it in a sample pack -- I wish it was in the RA formula, but I will probably get it at some point. The Enigma quad is great for Fall, too -- great smokey eyes. Did you check out the Mystic Eyes quad? Another one of my faves. Hope you enjoy all your new goodies! I have been loving Magnifique glossimer lately -- such a pretty rosey pink and one of the most pigmented. We could all go on and on, couldn't we??
Yes! lol Confidentielle is on my lips right now. It is a rather fleshy peach pink, very pretty, very subdued. The RA's are amazing. Lovely coverage and so moisturizing that my lips are in heaven! these are going to be so nice come fall when I am ready for even darker colours! I didn't check out any other e/s quads as I figured I had done well and wanted to try things out before spending any more money on Chanel until I knew what they were like. I am rather spoiled right now with some Guerlain and Dior quads I have been using. The Enigma quad was perfect for me...colours I wear year round, so that was an easy choice!
I also asked about the Anniversary Sale. She said it starts on July 15th. If you have a Nordstrom card they can preorder anything you want and get it a few days early. If not, on the 15th, after everything has been sent out to the pre-order people you can get what is left. lol Well, I am happy right now with the things I have so not too worried about limited edition things. MAC has worn me out with their special collections and the insanity of trying to get certain things. Now I am going for the regular items in all lines, at least in most cases, and those tried and true products and colours I have never even owned!
Okay, dusted the first floor and was able to see Confidentielle on my lips in all kinds of lighting. LOVING it! May end up getting a backup of this to keep in my purse once the cool weather sets back in. I'm afraid it would melt in the summer, being so amazingly moisturizing!
Now I have some fun homework for you all. While there I tried a very pretty pink/peach, coral lipstick on. Chanel, RA. Forget the name, even though I asked. Any ideas what it might be? Once I got in the car and onto the main road (hubby driving, me admiring myself vainly in the mirror) I found out I really like it. The lighting in the store made it look a big washed out. Ended up looking very soft and pretty. And I want it. And I wonder if I can convince hubby to drive me back another 45 minutes to purchase 1 lipstick. Whaddayathink?
