Now I have some fun homework for you all. While there I tried a very pretty pink/peach, coral lipstick on. Chanel, RA. Forget the name, even though I asked. Any ideas what it might be? Once I got in the car and onto the main road (hubby driving, me admiring myself vainly in the mirror) I found out I really like it. The lighting in the store made it look a big washed out. Ended up looking very soft and pretty. And I want it. And I wonder if I can convince hubby to drive me back another 45 minutes to purchase 1 lipstick. Whaddayathink? :)

It kind of sounds like Coquette, although I can't imagine that being light enough to wash you out (and I swear I read in here that you already got Coquette)...

Coquette is in the mail from Chanel, literally due at any minute! (Staring out the window for UPS truck!) When it arrives I can tell you how it compares to the other one. Or feed my husband some chocolate to tempt him to bring me back tonight and get it. :)

Put my haul up with pics in case anyone wants to see colours. Sorry they are not swatches, but you have probably seen a million of those anyhow by now!

Wow. That colour chart is so... meh. Seriously, those shades look like something that got left in a puddle. The last four shades are barely distinguishable from one another. I'm certain that this is just a combined fault of the print and the fact that computer screens are notoriously poor for showing proper shades. Some of the descriptions, however, sound very interesting...

La Caline- Lavender Rosewood (the shade looks like a normal pinky-brown, but the description sounds exciting)
La Sensuelle- Plum Red (pic looks brown, but I'm all over any kind of plum-tinged red)

I agree that this will be something I'll have to swatch in person. Thanks for sharing the link!

^^It's like when all of the Rouge Coco's came out -- all of the swatches were brown, brown, or dark brown. I can't wait to see real swatches of the Velvets!

Yeah, the chart never really helps much. Going by the descriptions, the one that jumps out at me is La Ravissante. The thought of a velvet texture on my full lips seems scary, but my lips have been in good condition lately and I really love Chanel lip products. Fingers crossed.

yeah these lipstick shades do absolutely nothing for me either really.

Yesterday i was wearing Liberte and had two women asking me what do i have on my lips, and getting so many compliments! i was using little sample that i had.
now i had to order it lol

Same here! But seeing the lovely pic from Chanel, I guess I have no choice but to try it too.

Monsy -- enjoy your new lippie. Hey, when others compliment our makeup -- it must look good!!

Hopefully we get better swatches of the Velvets -- the descriptions and swatches from Chanel are not doing anything for me right now . . . but I will have plenty to keep me buy with all of the fall collections coming out

I've a sample of Genius lying around here and used it yesterday for the first time. Is it an RA? I#ve apparently thrown the packaging away.
I really like the colour, but it vanished so quickly from my lips that I thought it was a RCS!

Another Chanel Haul arrived today and in it I ordered my first RC shines. I love them! Aventure went on first as that was what the MUA had me try on at the counter and I loved it but already had a lot of goodies. I also bought Romance, which is gorgeous and now have a list of others I want!

And I got RA in Adorable, so thrilled about that as it was not at Nordstrom and not sure how much longer it will be around. A good nab!! :)
