Thanks for posting this!

I'm really excited about the Prep + Prime compact. I hope it will become permanent.

I'm less elated about limited shades for the new Matchmaker foundation. IMO, more options are always better to find the right shade.
She writes that the new Matchmaker Foundation is using transparent molecules that let the skin shine through/reflect it, so the foundation matches itself to the colour of the skin and a smaller colour range is needed. So we'll see I guess. I wonder if that means that the thing has a lighter coverage then. Definitely an interesting product. If it works.

I don't think that a lighter coverage makes a product necessarily suitable for both NW and NC complexions. For example, I don't like the Moisture Tint, although very sheer, it runs very NC-ish and the yellow-ness is still apparent. I hope the Matchmaker will have both NW and NC shades.

^^Hopefully there is a shade matching my skin, which is even paler than NW15, at least the foundations in NW15 I tried where still a bit too dark, so I'm having high hopes for this one. Wondering if there also will be a Matchmaster concealer then.

I hope so. Select Moisturecover in NW15/20 runs slightly orange and Select Cover up is so difficult to blend. A Matchmaker concealer would be wonderful!

cool! revlon has something similar. there are black balls in the foundation that burst and turn to colour to match your skin... not sure if they still make it though!

Color me skeptical. The few products I've tried that claimed to match my skintone did absolutely not. And if it did work...that would be seriously sci-fi level technology. o_O

I'm betting it'll be one of those things that will get a big results boost from wearing a tinted primer underneath - great if you like primer, crappy if you want something simple and single-product.

I'm a perfect NC15, so I know I'm spoiled and will probably be able to get away with just this - I'm hoping it's very light coverage, closer to a tinted moisturizer.

On her blog, German blogger Magi tells about attending one of MAC's masterclasses. She speaks about some new products (If anyone has any questions, I'll help with translations) and posted a pic of two of new Prolongwear Shadows!

She says they reminded her a lot about the Mega Metals.

Both the shades swatched are colours that aren't all that difficult to dupe, but look like they're really well done. Classic, elegant neutrals.
Black ones? Huh. Did you try it?

Well, to me it sounds like a sheer thing, so where is the difference to the tinted moisturizer. Well, I actually do not mind sheer, but it might bother some people. Guess we'll all have to wait and see. Maybe it is like this Origins foundation/tinted moisturiser that also claims to match your skin tone?

Can somebody point me to the upcoming contouring collection on this thread? On what page number was it? Thanks.

Eeeek, only 98 pages to comb through... thanks though, I will try to find it.
it was just a reference to a range of contouring products, but it was in passing and pretty vague.

Makes sense there will be one, considering contouring is back in fashion in a big way.

basically they are contouring creams. however we are pretty sure these will be pro only at this point.
Thanks for the update. I wouldn't mind that at all - it's just a phone call away. Do we know a rough date when this will come out?
