Yes. I have two MSF in a jar. You can easily smash and use them like you would use your regular pigments. I like the stackable jars for that purpose. I'm not planning on smashing another MSF, thus my MSF are not allowed to travel with me another - unless I move! :) I'm glad that MAC is sending you a replacement. And yes, you can use it as an e/s. It's slighly more corally than Sand and Sun from TTB, but it should swatch rather similar. I

Oh WTF, I got charged 2x for my pre-order. What sucks, is that I transferred enough to my personal from my business to cover it now I am in the red by $260!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knowing how this crap works it will take 5 business days for a credit charge to be reversed...

A few thoughts on the MES: I swatched most of the them and the pigmentation is great, much better than anticipated. Karla Sugar's swatches appear to be the most accurate.

Quartz Fusion was extremely glittery, though it looks beautiful in the pan. GG, BS, DI, and SR had outstanding color pay-off. JF is also very pretty - at least the one on display hat a beautiful thick blue veining that is an awesome contrast to the green/yellow.

My favorite is FG, which is an understated not-in-your-face red-gold, which would be very suitable for a modern all-over-the-lid-up-to-the-brow-bone look. It didn't seem to get a lot of attention in reviews, but I believe it is a stunner and the color pay-off was outstanding. It had a strong sheen but was not overly metallic. The 235 - which is unworldly large - would be perfect to apply it all over the lid.

I try to write more about the brushes once I worked with them a bit more.

I just got Geo Pink from UPS. I am really happy with it! I was so focused on the color and wondering if it would turn orange on me or pink(it seems different from person to person) that I forgot it was a cremesheen. It's so smooth and nice. It definitely goes coral on me. It reminds me of one of my mufe lip shines and that's exactly what I wanted. It's not sheer on my pigmented lips at all and although there is shimmer, it's not blinding. It's subtle and just adds a natural glow to my face. So a big YAY! to the one item I got. :D Let me just rant and say that UPS man was rude! I said Hello and thank you and he completely ignored me. I hate that. :rants: (PS: my tiny bottle of fix plus is too cute. Love it. )

I purchased Gem of Roses, Feeling Flush, and Warmth of Coral (which is less Coral & more peach) I went back and forth between Pearl and Crystal Pink MSFs but I ultimately took the pass. I'm not sold on the split fibre brushes...I feel that if they were THAT necessary MAC would make them permanent. Golden Gaze & Dark Indulgence were very pretty when I swatched them, but I just can't justify the extra $40 :). My MUA told me I made a good decision because they only had 3 left of one of my items I assume she was referring to Feeling Flush (but maybe Gem of Roses).

I'm really getting into the cremesheen glasses, the texture is so smooth and creamy!! I also thought I'd regret ordering quartz fusion because its very close in colour to Lovestone but after swatching it I'm totally sure I made the right decision :) Now I'm off to play

Hope everyone is enjoying their purchases!!

Well, now the 235 brush and Golden Gaze are sold out on the site! Wasn't expecting the 235 to sell out that fast.

I think most people don't realize how huge the 235 is in comparison to other e/s brushes. I would have thought the 128 would sell out first. I'm glad that SP seems to sell slowly, which allows more time to go back for seconds or thirds.

just received feeling flush today and it's gorgeous in the pan. it's super smooth and easy to apply though the shade i got is quite pigmented. i needed to wipe some off because i have a heavy hand with blush and didn't want to look clownish. this is powdery like the other mineralize blushes i've tried by back (quite cute & in the groove). if you guys want anything from this collection, get a blush. the consistency is amazing and it's a must have for blush fanatics like myself. i may just grab the amber shade because i prefer neutrals.

here's me with it on:

Glad you are still able to enjoy some of the blush whilst you wait for your replacement. I am seriously glad you convinced me try the MES for myself, and RQ MSF - I'm using it as a blush and I love it so much! Thanks for the pic comment, it was one of the pics I posted in the FOTD section on a new look I did with an unusual combo of Digit and Surf USA shadows :)

My thoughts on SP Crystal Pink: This MSF is the most glittery one, giving an almost metallic pink finish that on my NW 20 skin looked rather artificial. It reminded me strongly of the Mineralize Sheersheen powder in Lucent, which I use as a highlighter, but Lucent is more subtle. For an all over face application, you need some courage to pull it off during the day-time and/or apply it with an ultra-light hand, in which case it defeats the purpose of CP. I found it to be much more glittery than RQ, which is further emphasized by the metallic sheen. It can certainly be used as a highlighter, but there are probably better, more appropriate, and less expensive highlighters (including other MSF) out there that give you a similar, but not as metallic-dramatic effect. To me, it looks more like a runway finish or what you would see in a high fashion editorial rather than what you would wear on the street (and I am rather open-minded about bright and shiny colors). The metallic part seems to be mostly the outer circle, so if you are just interested in the glittery part, you could only use the inner circle if you pick one that has a relatively large nipple. Again, if you are just using one part of the product, it probably defeats the whole purpose of this MSF. If you apply it lightly, it might help you to achieve a winter-fairytale look if you are very pale (think of the Sugarplum fairy in Nutcracker). I am sure there are certain people who can pull it off and it will look stunning, but it was not to my liking.

Thank you so much for this. Its reviews like this that help so so much when you can only buy online. I am half tempted by your review, if only to keep it for winter and do an ice queen snow look for Christmas! I'm crazy I know!

But you're probably right, for an icy highlight I own several that are very wearable so this would be an expensive novelty *le sigh*

Glad it helped. Looking at your profile picture (if that is you), I am certain you can pull it off. I would only recommend buying it if you plan on wearing it as an all over the face glow. It's too expensive as just a highlight and/or takes up unnecessary space in our stash. I would recommend using the 187 rather than the 179 to apply it - or maybe dust it on with the 187 and buff it out with the kabuki (if you bought it). I think it will look lovely on you with a frosty e/s and a neutral lip even during the day-time (in winter), but it seems too frosty for a summer look.

MrsB- completely agree with you about the mes. They just blew me away today. Normally I am very good at sticking to my list but I ended up with 2 extra mes today! Mac-guy- you are defo right about the importance of picking veining. I picked my own today and I am delighted with what I got.... Rf with loads of pink veins, clarity with hardly any black veins and unsurpassable with plenty of purple. Defo worth taking the time to do this if you can get to a store Lou- sorry to hear about your package. Hopefully the rest of your stuff arrives before the weekend. What mes did you order?
