I never got any msf's although I did swatch Pearl and its so pretty! I think I may go back for that and Goldstone. Pressed Amber was the prettiest blush imo, but I never purchased it as I have similar shades which I barely reach for.

Both are gorgeous! If you can only pick up one I would highly recommend GoR - I love that lippie!
Ooh I think I should definitely check this GOR out - did you happen to see crystal pink in store? If so how was it? Andddd could anyone advise me if the 128 is a good blush brush? I need another I think, I use the 129 but sometimes it's a little big so I was looking at the 116 but the new 128 is ever so slightly cheaper..which would folks recommend?

If you could get one brush from this collection, which would it be?< I would recommend the 128. I got it to use with powder and cream highlights but now I use it to apply foundation and it's fab. Apply the foundation with the synthetic side and buff with the tip. The kabuki and small shadow brush are really nice to have but not must haves /p>

It looks like the most amazing mermaid tail. I have even gotten compliments! It's almost like a duo chrome shadow... Changing from green to purple to grey... It's so cool. I would reiterate to try and pick your own veining now if you can. Mine has loads of purple and teal- I love it! Would anybody recommend getting jades fortune aswell as unsurpassable!

I truly love it and I do plan to get jade's fortune as it looks more yellow/blue - at least I plan to get one with lots of blue/yellow. So the 128 is good for foundation and highlight? Do you think it's worth nabbing before it disappears? Also, silly q but how have the MAs been when you're requesting different MES due to veining? My nearest counter is kinda snooty and I'm not sure they will be so accommodating lol!

IMO, being nice to the MAU goes a long way and they will certainly understand that you want to pick your own product. Just know ahead what you are looking for, e.g. lots of blue veining, little coral, etc... so it's not a never-ending story.
Thanks MAC Guy, I only want jade's fortune so not too much to ask - just one with lots of yellow/blue. I currently use the 187 and stipple my foundation then buff to get a near perfect finish. I'm generally happy with this but I like the 128 - I'm just not sure if its a must have and if I can get enough use out of it for blush highlight purposes. Obviously the more mutlitasking it is, the more chance I will find a use for it.

I keep lemming GoR and Smoked Ruby! My youngest step daughter has begged me to take her shopping to hollister, and my nearest MAC is there too - I'm not sure I'll resist!
in my opinion, GoR is a must-have..especially for the days you want to stick to a natural look. I really love the color, and I think it'd look lovely on you!

I wore Gem of Roses today. I was very impressed! It's a gorgeous strawberry rose (?) shade, and it still looks natural. Great job, MAC!

It's the bomb. I should have gotten a back up.

I went into one of the quieter stores on Thursday at eleven in the morning so they weren't busy. They would take out 5-6 of each for me to have a look at so it wasn't like I had about 20 on the counter! I don't think they would be as accommodating if they were busy, that's why I avoid saturdays and lumchtimes. I would just be very chatty with them and remember you are the client and you are paying for the shadows so you don't want to buy something you are not happy with. My mua was particularly nice so I asked her opinion on which ones she thought were best and she appreciated that I valued her opinion

If stippling works best for you, then stick to it. But maybe you can consider the 128 for MB/MSF? It works very well for MBs (or MSF if you use them as a blush), but not too well for regular blushes as it picks up a lot of product.

Just a heads up: the 179 takes forever to dry when you washed it. I usually wash my brushes in the afternoon, and by the late evening, they are usually all dry. The 179 is still slightly damp the next morning. I'm not sure why this happens, but I guess it is due to the density of the bristles and they are also quite long.

Obviously the more mutlitasking it is, the more chance I will find a use for it.
I originally got the 128 cause I liked the size for highlighting and particularly like that I can use the synthetic side for ccb and natural side for powder highlighters. I used to apply my foundation with a 190 but found I was a bit heavy handed with it. I then tried a 182 and loved the buffed finish but it sheered it out a bit. When I applied my foundation with the 128 and then buffed with the tip it was like getting the best of both worlds and a bonus of getting another use for the brush. On the other hand, if you are happy with your current foundation brush I wouldn't see the need to change. I have seen some other members mention they like applying cream blush with synthetic side and setting with powder blush using the natural side- I haven't tried this but its another option for you

I just noticed that when applied to my cheeks, pressed amber looks sorta like Darkly my dear. Then when i looked at them side by side i saw swirls in pressed amber that is the same color as Darkly my dear. They are different enough to have both though.

I know that this has probably been asked already but.... What brush from the permanent collection is best to use for all over MSF application? Is there a brush that will work well double duty with MSF & bronzer? I have read the posts in this thread talking about the different brushes, but I found some of them confusing.

If I had to pick one from the perm collection, it would be the 187.

Yes, it's very similar to DMD, though DMD is a bit more plum/burgundy whereas PA is more neutral.

It can't be said enough. This collection really needs to be seen in person. My original list was 2 items: Smoked Ruby and SP Crystal Pink. I actually ended up with SR, Rare Find, Clarity and Rose Quartz. I may still go back for CP and to take a look at some of the other shadows. I wasn't allowed to choose my own but I am tickled with my SR. It has a ton of red in it which is what I wanted.

And, for the record, Clarity+Plumage=sexy hotness!
