I finally posted swatches with comparisons of what I hauled in the swatch thread, if it helps anyone. I wore Unsurpassable yesterday and I will warn people that there is some migration of sparkles after a few hours. That doesn't particularly bother me, but I know it makes some people really annoyed.

Note- If you're miffed about missing Gem of Roses, I think you could easily get the same effect with a pink lip liner and NARS Mayflower, which is a little warmer and sheerer, but has the advantage of still being available.

The texture of WoC is very nice, but applied it looks like every other coral-orangey blush IMO. But if you want it, go for it. I think FF or PA is more unique, and for your complexion and style, I think FF would suit you best.

Today I did a look using Unsurpassable + a darker green shadow from my collection and I have Gem of Roses on too. I couldn't find it and thought I left it in my car and I was getting upset thinking of it melting but then I found it in my lipstick drawer of all places

A couple of things I've done with my Semi-Precious haul.

Unsurpassable:



Smoked Ruby used in the outer corner and along the centre of the lower lash line (leaves a really nice sparkle), Gem of Roses on the lips.

I didn't realize the brushes would sell out so fast. My local Nordies & MAC store (in the same mall) we're sold out of the 128 split brush last night. And the MAC store was sold out of all their split brushes except for the 179 split brush.

I'm wearing Golden Gaze on my lids and Dark Indulgence is my creases today. All I used was my TFSI and NYX milk jumbo pencil as a base, and they applied fantastic. Didn't even have to apply them wet.

But even if they are pigmented enough to be applied dry... when u apply them wet it gives a velvety texture u cant miss on. It definitely looks amazing. specially rare find, smoked ruby, golgen glaze.

The 179 might last a bit longer in the store because it is the most expensive one. Mind you, many stores have 20 or less products (brushes, MSF, MB, etc...) for each shade or design. E.g. my large f/s MAC store only had 20 MSF in each shade. I would look around in the smaller malls, which are more likely to have the brushes.

Absolutely. It gives you a lot of control and you can build up the color.

I ended up buying WOC and love it. I also have many coral/peach blushes, but the pigmentation sold me on this product. I visited one of my favorite MAs at Nordies yesterday, and she said "let me try this." Then she proceeded to apply WOC on me, and I was sold. Truthfully, if she hadn't done that, then I may have skipped it. It is not terribly unique except for the depth of pigmentation.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased. They only laster about 5 hours before creasing on me, using a primer and UD shadow pencil in Sin asa base.... but it was raining, really muggy, and I sweated ALL night at work.... so that's actually pretty decent giving the conditions. Can't wait to get the others I ordered!
