The brushes were the only thing that interested me. Now that I've seen them in person, I'm not that impressed. Also, the natural bristles of the 128 tester at a Mac store splayed a little bit.

I went to mac today to get a couple of coloured bases for my mes. She recommended big bounce shadows. I hadn't got any of these when they launched due to bad reviews but then I thought if I had listened to some reviews on the mes I wouldn't of got them and I live the mes I got. Anyway, I ended up getting count your assets to wear with rare find and the plummy colour (something fortune) to wear with smoked ruby. They look amazing layered together and I am currently wearing the rare find combo with nars primer underneath and no crease issues. Defo worth a look!

i was in a mac store today and the shadows really are beautiful! the only one that was dissapointing was the pink one - just from looking at it you can see it was a very chunky and almost crusty glittery texture. it was shame because it was drawing me in at first.. i don't do pink shadows but this looked nice. it's such a shame!

Quartz Fusion actually swatches quite well. Yes, it has more glitter, but the glitter dissolves into micro-glitter when you apply it with a firm brush. It is quite an unusual state that didn't get much attention due to some bad reviews, but I believe it is a really gem.

I finally decided I do like Goldstone today, wasn't sure until I tried it with Warmth of Coral over it. I thought it was too sparkly on me at first, I'm NW20, but after using mostly the outside, with the new Kabuki brush, applying it where the sun would normally hit my face (cheeks, nose, forehead), buffing it in then using the same Kabuki brush (MAC 179) to buff in a small amount of Warmth of Coral I decided the sparkles tone down and it turns into more of a glow than a sparkle.

As for the Charged Water, I agree with Mrs.B, I use it the same way, and like the way it makes my skin feel more moisturized but not greasy. I have very dry skin. I use this before my moisturizer and my Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer, like I said, I have VERY dry skin.

I also used my Smoked Ruby today. When I went to the MAC shop, the SA told me to use Big Bounce colors over the Semi Precious colors. Yes, over the Semi-Precious colors. She did this with me, using Faux Gold and Good Fortune and it worked. I tried this with Unsurpassable and Good Fortune and only succeeding in making an Unsurpasable mess. Today, I used the Black Diamond UNDER Smoked Ruby and it turned out really well. I patted the Black Diamond on, to a thin coating in the "v" and the crease and then patted mostly red Smoked Ruby onto the Black Diamond, then put Tempting into the inner corner and over the V and I think it turned out well. Sorry, I can't take pics, no digital camera, but I do think it turned out okay. Not the works of art I've seen on you ladies, but it worked well enough for where I live and work.

.

My Unsurpassable has a lot of lime green in it. I was surprised to see so much purple in the pics posted. However, the lime green works with my eye color and it makes my eyes look very slate blue (they run the gamut from blue to mud to sea green). I like using the Big Bounce under the semi-precious eye shadows, I'm just not talented enough to use it over the eye shadows.

I hope this helps answer some of the questions floating around!

Does anyone know how close Gold Stone is to Bobbi Brown Illuminating bronzing powder in Aruba? I have too many bronzers already, but Mac-Guy is getting me curious with all this talk about the gorgeous GS!

But if it's somewhat similar to Aruba then I'm good. :)
