Early Buzz Regarding MAC Collections/Products Coming in 2011 - Discussion

ahahah me too (well I didn't use to like cheap lipstick palettes where you use your finger XD but this is waaaay better and I have 318 brush to apply them ) aaaand that orange is fantastic! Also the color next to it is very interesting..the other two are light everyday lipsticks ^^
aaand it should be easier to mix the four colors!!!

My only reservation that I have with a lip palette is that no matter how careful you are - or what tools you use - it will always look messy once you start using it. But hey, you get 4 in 1, which is probably great value.

I was never one for lip palettes before either. Lip brushes drive me crazy because I just can never seem to get the color amount right on my lips. I am, however, curious about these due to the colors and for traveling. I love my lipstick tubes the best, but I've noticed in the summer they seem to melt and I can't take it anymore. First I lost my Lavender Whip to the floor, then I lost Radicchio and now it appears that my Blood Red (which I absolutely love and want it to be re-promoted in the future so I can buy another) is about to fall to the ground within the next use. Boo!

I really need to learn not to carry the lipsticks I love with me in the Summer because they always melt on me.

Thank you, Lou! That is Martha in my profile pic. She was a baby then. She's not doing too well unfortunately. These last few months haven't been too good to me with my kitties. First, Katie back in September, but she was 18 and she was very sick. Then Aaliyah my baby who was only 9 and her death was sudden & unexpected. Now, Martha who is 11. I don't think she will make it until the end of the year which saddens me because her birthday is December 31st. I have lost favorite lipsticks this year and my beloved kitties. I seem to have a black cloud following me around and I don't know why!?

I actually discovered when I went to look at what I already had from this collection that my Fusion Pink has gone missing. My favourite hot pink lippie...

So sorry to hear about your kitties as well. I know how hard it is to lose feline friends. The eldest of mine is not in the greatest shape (13 years) and I worry that I don't have much time left with him. Hugs.

I'm thinking you won't get much of each lip colour in a palette like that. As with the eyeshadow palettes, I know it means you get 4 colours for your money, but you might not like all of them. Tubes sound much more practical to me.

I like the idea of the quad, but all 4 colors look like colors I already have (Lady Danger, Heartless, Hang Up, Party Line). Though as others have said, it would be perfect for traveling. I worry though that because of how it is packaging-wise it might dry out faster than a regular lippy...

don't make me cry now I love my Kiki cat...he is almost 15 and still great... I wish he could live forever with me! I'm really sorry for Martha, she always "young"!!!!!

Thanks for the image! Those shades look lovely, but I really can't see myself carting a palette with a brush around with me for touch-ups. I can apply from a tube without needing a mirror, so I want to keep things that uncomplicated. Plus you wouldn't get nearly as much in a pastille. Maybe if people like the shades, they'll bring them back in tube form.

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your kitties and in such a short time span. I hope Martha starts to feel better soon. I know it is heart breaking for you.

I am quite sad right now over one of my furbabies. I had to have my baby Ishmael put down this past Monday, one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. He had been going downhill for a while and the pain pills just weren't working very well anymore and he would fall and couldn't stand back up on his own. We would have to pick him up and his mind was going also. He had already lost his hearing a few years ago. He was truely my best friend and we spent all day every day together. He would have been 16 in Oct and shelties usually live between 12-14 yrs so I guess we were lucky to have him for so long. He was my baby and I miss him so much. That's him in my pic taken a few years ago playing in the snow with his beloved red football.

Two of our kitties are pushing 17 yrs and the other one is 12 yrs. So all of our furbabies are getting up there in age. It's very hard.

I come on here to talk about makeup to help think about other things.

Thank you, shadowaddict!!! I am so sorry to hear about your Ishmael. My condolences to you and your other furbabies. I do apologize for bringing up my sadness on this wonderful website. I love make-up & make-up talk also. It really does make me happy & I am even more happy that I have people with similar interests/love in make-up as I have. None of my friends are really this passionate about it.
Sometimes though my mind wonders and I just need to vent. Again, my apologizes. I don't mean to distract anyone from our addiction.

uhh I didn't want to say this XD I think it's good to also talk about this kind of things, but of course I'm a bit sad because I love my kitty too and I know it's a real pain to lost someone you love now my cute "brother" is sleeping at my feet on the bed^^
