This collection is just so hard to stay away from.

I am so impressed with the newer formulation of the mes. My older ones are just a powdery glitter mess, not much color only fallout.

[/quote] Hubby is a little angel. And I am so so amazed at the room he booked. I would have been happy to just stay there but he booked a suite, and it has a freestanding roll top bath and a seperate double rainfall shower - I am so so so excited. I feel very thankful I have him and very blessed :) How do you find York for range of MAC Lou? Is there often a good selection? And how is it for prices? Do they have a set price for an e/s, lipstick, blush and so on? I'm very excited. Should hubby's wallet be afraid? Lol

oh wow!! he really is an amazing hubby! that sounds wonderful! you have to post up some pictures of your suite! i'd love to see! :) And yes the cco has set prices but i am darned if i can remember them. although i feel like pigments are £10.50! which is a nice saving :) i think the pro pan shadows are about £6 and the potted ones about £8 or £9. I haven't been since the Feb this year but need to go again! And when I have gone there has been a nice selection - always lots of pigments which is good for me! usually in old jars too! there tend to buy lots of glosses too and usually a brush set of some kind. sometimes they even have msf's but last time i went they had none. they also have foundations and such too!

I ended up returning Clarity and exchanging it for Viva Glam Gaga II lipglass and a replacement Magenta lip pencil. Of course, now that I'm replaced my lost pencil, I'm sure I'll find the original one exactly 31 days from now.

Ladies!!! Run don't walk to get your Faux Gold. If you love neutrals, you will love this shadow. It is very much a "neutral with kick". Also, try to find one with a nice slice of burgundy veining. It reminds me of the mountains in Arizona and Nevada. I wore mine today foiled with Saddle in the crease and Sketch in the outer-v. Check out the pics!

After I read that I was thinking you are so right, it sure does. I was just out in Utah and Arizona in late May. I love the colors of oranges and reds when the sun hits the mountains. I may need to go back and get that one. You've got a really pretty one and it looks great on you. The ones I saw were basically all one color and that particular ma wasn't so helpful. I should have asked when I went to the counter at Macys. That ma was so nice and let me go through and pick a great GG.

I wanted Faux Gold originally, but I already have enough gold, copper, and bronze eyeshadow to last me a lifetime.

I went to York last year with the boyfriend for his birthday, I love it there and the people are so friendly. York is a beautiful city and has some really nice places to eat and visit. I went there before I was really into MAC so didn't know about the CCO but I think it is slightly out of town anyway so it would have been harder to get to as we don't drive.

You NEED faux gold, girl. It's different, vibrant but wearable. It's pretty amazing and you can play it up or dress down

I went to the Bay at the Eaton Centre the other day, and the MAC counter still has everything from this collection, except for one of the brushes. Hopefully that means that these will stick around a bit longer and I can pick up some more things later!

Thanks for your help in deciding which Unsurpassable to keep, I've gone for the one next to mine. :) Also wanted to show you the look I've done with it and my old Unsurpassable which has a beautiful sparkly greeny gold patch.
heart.gif
I used the greeny gold on the inner part of my lid, the green from the new one on the middle of the lid, the purple on the outer V and crease, plus the greeny gold above the crease and the while gold from Illusionary Burning Ambition MES on my browbone. Green Collection 2000 sparkly eyeliner on top, Urban Decay Binge 24/7 on lower lashline, black Diorshow Blackout on lashes. Pearl MSF on cheeks as blush and highlight. What do you think?

Thanks. I'm always matching my make up with my clothes (or rather the other way around), even though you're not supposed to apparntly, but never mind. :)

I'm wearing Surprise Me lipstick with Gift Wrap Superglass on top.

That's really pretty, and goes well with what you're wearing, too :)

What lippy is that?
