So tell me - why do you love Specktra? What makes you come back and keep posting? And for all you lurkers out there - what will it take to get you to join in on all the fun?!

I've just been reading back through some older topics on the forum - partly to take my mind off being sick and partly because I wanted to see if things have changed on Specktra. I think as each year goes by Specktra gets better and better! I love all the friends I have made here, I love sharing my views with you all and equally learning new things off others.

It is also amazing on how much the forum has expanded! Many years ago the MAC sections were the most popular (this is a forum for MAC addicts remember?!) but now it is wonderful to see so many brands getting so much attention and love - high end and drugstore!

I think we should all take a moment, think about why we come here and share it!

I haven't been here for very long, but I am forever grateful for all I learn from various topics to tutorials and everything in between on this forum, as well as having a place to connect to like-minded folk who are just as crazy over MU as I am. I am in good company and know when I get super excited about a product or latest purchase it won't be a topic of competition or a bragging session, but rather a gathering of kindred spirits that are just as enthusiastic as I am, whether we just did a major haul, finally found a perfect matching brow powder or reconnecting with a long forgotten lipstick at the bottom of a drawer! Love you all!

Aww, I love this thread, great idea! I don't even remember when I started posting here, it doesn't feel that long ago.
All I know is that everybody is really nice, and I finally found people who understand my love for MAC and makeup

One of the best things is that I get to improve my english and meet people from over the world. It's so awesome to have a place where you can talk about a certain product and share thoughts with people from the US, UK, Asia and anywhere else at the same time.
I've met great people so far, and hopefully will meet more

Everyone is just so lovely here - it's a great place to get advice, feedback, and recommendations about makeup, but also just to get to know new friends from across the globe who share a common love of makeup! I know for me, Specktra is one of the few places I can talk about any makeup topic and be understood! The non-makeup talk is important too, and everyone is always so supportive of one another!

I LOVE Specktra as it allows me to be immersed in my own world so to speak, but also being able to share/learn everything about makeup with hundreds of likeminded diva's! I have an appetite for knowledge & makeup is one of the few subjects I never seem to get bored of so it's a great place to come to find a foundation to work with photography, a great new creaseless eyeshadow or a kohl which stays all day! Also I love that it's not just about makeup but perfume, skincare, styling & fashion, even cookery! It's basically a lifestyle empire & I cannot sing its' praises enough!

yes i too love the fact we have members from all across the world! i get to learn so many new things about different countries! Not just makeup stuff either!

i love checking the forums and seeing the familiar users on here all the time and seeing what everyone has to say about products, collections, hype, what not....
i also like hearing great ideas, combos and recommendations from other makeup fiends like myself!

oh yes! getting new combos for things is always good! you guys help me think outside of the box!

i must also add that never before have i seen such a kind and caring online community! not only do people seem to really care if i have been having a tough time, but people have sent me samples of products for me to try that i can't afford to get myself - how kind is that?
