OOOH your MESs all look FANTASTIC! Your HOS has nice deeper blue in it (mine is all really light), your Golden Gaze is nicely variegated and your Rose Quarts is blessedly free of green sparkles! You did well

I am heading to California from New York, will be landing in the evening and we're going to dinner straight from the airport. Hm...so...I have been working with different combos that will last the 12 hours for the entire trip (from home to mom's home). I'm wondering if anyone has foiled Smoked Ruby? If so, what was the result? Also, I've found if I start with a eyelid primer, then use a Bounce shadow, then tap on the Semi-Precious shadow, this will last more than 12 hours (which is why I'm going this route). What Bounce shadow would you recommend to go under the Smoked Ruby? I have many of the darker Bounce shadows, but because I'm leaving my home in the late morning, early afternoon, I don't want it to look too vampy, but a little vampy will be fine (Hey, it's NYC that's I'm flying out of)

Check at the mall stores where the die-hard MAC junkies (like us) are less likely to have pilfered everything from the collection. I found my back up at a giant mall here in London (and they still had like 20 of them!), even though all the PRO and F/S stores were all sold out. YOU CAN DO IT!

For those of you wearing the MES over the BB shadows, how are you applying them? I tried mine over TFSI the other day with both a brush and my finger and I found that there was pilling and the colour wiped off, but when I got it right it stayed all day without creasing. Any methods that are tried, tested and true?

With the BB I use a TINY tiny amount. I rub it in until there is a sheer wash of color and that it is mostly dry. Then I pat on the MES onto the BB. I let that settle for a few seconds before I start blending. I hope this helps...I also prefer the UDPP with it to the Too Faced.

Try BBs on top of the MES, it's beyond gorgeous! Like Golden Gaze or Smoked Ruby with Up The Ante BB on top.

Mousygiggles, thank you for the shade idea, I think that's a brilliant suggestion, the violet in "Luxury Touch" should help bring out the red in Smoked Ruby. I apply the BB and the Semi-Precious in the same fashion as Mousygiggles, just be sure to pat the semi-precious on first, then if you want to blend it a bit, use a soft brush lightly over it. Be sure to use a very light hand. If you can get the BB OVER the Semi-Precious, it is very beautiful, but it's a bit of a trick to do it.

I have addes some BB over the MES as well. To me the key to doing that is to make sure the MES has been on for a minute or two and to use a tiny tiny amount. Literally I use the size of a sharpened pencil tip or a ball point pen tip. That is all that is needed. More will make it rub the MES off and have it ball up. I put it on with a liner brush in a dot, the lightly stipple that on too. If there was a 239 sized 187/88 it would be perfect for this. I vary it but usually the 217 works best for this. This method is better for the evening than work for me because it adds some awesome iridescent shimmer to the depth of the MES. I hope this helps you all out some. MAC needs to keep the BB around and promote them like this with all of the MES! There is no comparrison in my opinion to how great the MES work and look over the BB. If you get the chance even at a counter to swatch a BB under or over MES, just try it! Yesterday was a 12 hour day and when I went to bed it was just as it was when I put it on where as everything else had faded.
