Hakuhodo makes Mac brushes, or at least they used to make them when the brushes were made in Japan....now they are made in China and quality sucks as evident in their recent released brushes so far this yr. I have probably 22 Hakuhodo brushes....been slowly replacing all of my other brushes with Hakuhodo as they are now my HG brushes and will never buy another brand. They have different series like the S100 (24k gold ferrules), G series, K series, Japanese traditions, etc. price is very comparable to the likes of Nars, Mac, etc. The brushes are all handmade and they don't cut the hairs to it's shape. they keep the hair tips and comb it into shape. I believe there is a video on the website how they make the brushes and it looks so cool. If any of you ever decide to try Hakuhodo brushes, they are definitely worth it! Shipping from California took at most 2 days tops.

I can't bring myself to buy Outre. With my red undertones I think it would look like baby poo on me.

And you are right. I think the color is too flat matte and will make your eyes looks ashy in the crease or pukey on the lid, now I would recommend it was frosty like Ochre Style (which I used as an highlight today and it looked good over concealer but without the frost, It would have been useless on my summer red-bone skin).

Hey all! I am in LOVE with the 226 - I picked it up a couple days ago and mine is the same shape as the previous editions. It looks no different from any other image I've seen of the rocking brush!! Woohoo!

I also caved today and pre-ordered Offshoot and Runaway Red... I wasn't supposed to get anything except for the brush. Oops. But I have a Nordies gift card, so it's not like I am spending my own money. I guess.

No, not all MAC brushes are made in China but a few are. The 226 in this release is made in France.

And thank you to Ms. Elegant--now I have to get Avenue f/l. I was just going to skip right over that one. I was afraid it was going to be a flat mousy brown and not a deep enough color.

Hmm, now I am paranoid. I ordered Midnight Blues Fluidline this afternoon around 4pm EST and it is now showing as sold out on the US site. I got 2 day shipping, but I am wondering if it is backordered or totally sold out and will not be restocked, how long before I will know that? I am worried now that it will sell out at my counter, and then I will get a cancellation notice on my order... What to do, what to do...

I'm curious about Outre too, it looks very yellow and mustard in some pics, but less yellow in others. I'm wondering if it will work on me. There is a Nars duo, Indian Song, with one of the shade like Outre, but less yellow. Anyone has it to compare? I keep going back and forth with Lady Grey quad too.

NARS small domed brush looks just like the 226 without the complaints of scratchiness or drama about availability. Is it made in China? By the way, why should I care if it's made in China if it's good and there's no controversy about "is it the same as the brush from 2009"? Is it me or has the drama surrounding these LE collections just become all hype and no payoff? Don't get me wrong - I got what I'd planned - but I'm hoping that I don't just wonder why I bothered when I get my items tonight.

Give CS a call this morning Audrey. They will be able to tell you the status, and if it's backordered I would ask them to cancel and go get one at your counter.

It looks like Stunner blush and all the fluidlines are sold out on the US web site.

I did all my buying online this time, it all should be coming in today I think.
I ended up buying Avenue on my 2nd order even though I tend to be really clumsy with upper-eyelid eyeliner (think toddler with a crayon) - it looked too nice to pass up, and since I've never used liquid eyeliner before I'm hoping I can figure out how to apply it well.

Yep...my order #1 appears to be lost to UPS altogether and my order #2 won't be here till Moday. I usually get my orders faster than that without 2nd day delivery.

I notice from UPS tracking that they are shipping out of Kentucky now instead of Maryland, so either they are having some issues because of the transfer or the shipping from Kentucky will just be slower.
