Take a look at Soft Ochre paint pot, too. It looks really yellow in the pot but it's not on the eyelid. I've found I actually like it a bit better than Painterly as Painterly is almost too pink and my eyes tend to be a bit red (allergies). I use SO as a base for green & brown looks and Painterly as a base for blues, purples, and grays.

I also have Greenstroke - I love the color but it's very very sheer. I'm hoping that these new PPs are nice and opaque without an overload of shimmer/glitter.

I'm dying to see a swatch of Potent Fig!! Purple lippies are just so hit or miss, but lord, I love me a good purple.

I'm almost relieved that paint pots aren't good for me, or else this collection would cost me a fortune. I just can't get them to not crease, or eat up any shadows that I put over them. I've tried a lot of different primers, no primer, powder over primer.. Nothing works! I'm okay with this, though. MUFE Aqua Creams fill the void quite nicely!

I can't decide between Potent Fig or the lighter purple one--you know I will probably get both. The olive toned one looks like it could be quite versatile too. I am fantasizing about layering it under the platinum Mega Metal shadow to bring out the green. At this point, I would settle for blurry swatches in bad lighting and foreign language subtitles. Pleeze can we haz swatches nao?

Given the timing of the launch, I would expect that we'd see swatches on Temptalia, MUBB and others this week, but so far nothing. Sounds like Mac is having some serious supplier issues, with shipments getting delayed, certain items (226 brush) not having a big enough production, etc.

I don't think there was a supplier issue with the 226. It launched in other countries on websites (UK, Germany, etc.), so I strongly suspect this was just strategy to create more hype in the US (hey, it kinda worked). Limit the supply and people want it. If they would have do this with Styledriven, it would probably sell out too.

Now for PP, the store manager did not know when (if?!) they get it, but let's assume that no news is good news and that PP does not turn into another Glam Glass. Normally, the store would have received it already a week ago... I don't know if it's just my store or also other stores, but it would explain why there are no swatches at all so close to the launch.

Noooooo it can't be delayed or worst yet cancelled!!! Just got into the exciting idea of paint pots! I thought it strange too that no swatches had appeared yet... When I was in mac Australia today the girls there said we get it end of October and fall color end September early October!

It's definitely a big month. I still would like PP though, especially as October/November will be crazy with an uber-large holiday collection followed by an expensive couture one.

Even though I plan on not getting anything, I'm still very interested in seeing swatches and reviews. (I seem to enjoy torturing myself by gazing at things I can't have.) Anyway, less than two weeks until launch. Christine posted the first reviews for MAC Me Over exactly two weeks before the website launch, so it is a bit later than usual. If nothing has been reviewed a week before the 15th, then I'm calling it as delayed.

I wrote them an email telling them I will buying from other companies.I am sooo mad!


I did a live chat and I was told the reason they don't give launch dates is in case launches do get delayed.Also they have not been told if this has been pushed back or not.Although I have a bad suspicion it is.
