MAC - MAC Me Over Discussion

JUST GOT MY BOX THIS MORNING!!!! WOOT WOOT! ( I know, we are lagging over here in the UK)

So, I love everything. I mean like "I want to order doubles of everything RIGHT NOW" kind of love.

Carbonized and Creamy Bisque are to die for and will absolutely become staples for life. Hazy Day from Lady Grey Quad is everything I have ever wanted a taupe e/s to be, and the other colors in the quad are beautiful too, even though the green one is an exact dupe for the mid tone green shade in Photorealism Quad, I have nothing like Tendersmoke and I don't loathe All Races the way most people do.

Stunner is ridiculously perfect on my neutral-cool pale skin (N1 is the only MAC foundation that matches my skin) and I need another one immediately.

Curvaceous is MLBB in the most subtle-cool way (although I do wish it was a tad more pigmented, I am still going to use the #@*!! out of this).

And Avenue I still have yet to try, but I know it will be fab. I probably won't back that up just because I dont reach for my F/L as often as I should.

All in all I am really impressed with the textures and colors of all of these, and seeing as how I am definitely veering into neutrals-territory on the regular these days I know I will use these all up. And THAT would be a first :)
enjoy your goodies!! sounds like you got some great items!

i bought myself creamy bisque today! i think it will take over from dazzlelight as being my favourite highlight shade. also for a frost finish i really don't find it frosty!

i did look at runaway red but in person i didn't feel like i had to have it. in fact i'm very happy with my small haul - i expected to want more when i saw it in person but nope. just creamy bisque was my added extra!

Give me some Eye Kandy - todays specktra blog post

Thank you to everyone who recommeded Creamy Bisque e/s. I am loving it.

It's a frost but I'm not finding it very frosty which I love. I'm using it as an all over color-wash and then my other e/s. I'm going to wear it a few more times and then decide if I'm going to get a backup. I'm on my last Solar White and while they are not the same color I use it a lot the same way and it is more frosty.

I haven't tried my f/l yet, but they look so pretty in the pots.

Can anyone satisfy my curiosity? I would like to see swatches of Stunner and Hipness side by side! Thanks!
Here are pics of the blushes. On the left Stunner and on the right Hipness in the first picture. In the swatch picture Hipness left and Stunner right.

Stunner is more on the pink side and Hipness is more coral. HTH!

I finally caved in and went to get Dark Envy and Mythical after my Uni lessons. Tried Dark Envy on quickly when I got home and it looks fab! This was going to be my last "haul" but I'm still thinking about Prince Noir and Outré.. Why I always do this? I swatched Stunner again today and I have to say that I don't regret not getting it, for my liking it's too light (sheer) and too pink and still it's too dark that I could use it as a highlighter.

Nice picks! I was thinking about some of those. I think i have a dupe for Avenue, so that one was the easiest to skip. I got eyeliner mixing medium from the pro store and i have The Family Crest pigment and those two combined i think is really close to Avenue.

They have eyeliner mixing medium at Pro? Does it have a lot of alcohol in it? B/c my eyeballs can only take so much. But I would love to create some eyeliners using piggies...right now I use a liquid eyeliner and just try to quickly add powdered piggies or e/s on top.

Yes they have! I don't know for sure what the ingrediënts are, but it is safe for the eyes and i don't think alcohol would be allowed in it.

They do. It is called Mixing Medium Eyeliner. I don't have the ingredient list, but here's the blurb from the page: A colorless, translucent mixing medium that can be mixed with pigments and glitter to create unique customized eyeliner shades. Contains Vitamins A, C and E to buffer the delicate skin around the eye area from environmental aggression. Non-irritating and suitable for all skin types. """''' " "

It is $12 for a .33oz tube

I finally, after a two-and-a-half week wait, got my 226 brush in the mail today, and I had the same issue that most of you have had: it looks exactly zero like the pictures. Unlike a lot of you, though, I can't exactly go and select another one that's more tapered. There's no Nordstrom anywhere in Maine. There are a couple of Macy's, but only one of them has a MAC counter, and it's over six hours away. :( Anyhoo. Below is a comparison between my 226 and the Sigma E45 which is based on the original 226. (I've had the Sigma one for almost a year now; my main reason for ordering the 226 was to compare and contrast.)

(MAC 226 on the left; Sigma E45 on the right.) I do think I'll get some use out of the 226, though, but I also predict I'll be reaching for my E45 a bit more.

Hello fellow addicts. My name is I have no willpower. Yes, so I got Mythical. Would've gotten Butternutty too but it was sold out. And somehow Avenue appeared in my bag too. Oh gosh...Let me explain - I swatched Avenue next to Blitz&Glitz and B&G was more black, Avenue much softer. That was enough reason for me.
