I got 2 out of 3 of the McQueen ones. I didn't get Pharoah (the green one) for some reason. I think it was because I had Chartru Paint but now I know that they were different enough to warrant having both of them. The Mattenes aren't grabbing me the way I thought they would either. I'll check em out in person though. Minds sometime have a way of changing when you're up close and personal. LOL.
Jen i freaking love you.This is why I also prefer forums - I can voice my real opinion here and nobody can censor or control me. And of course I write the Specktra blog, but I can honestly say that i'm an honest person. All the reviews I do are my own thoughts - no bs - just reviews that hopefully tell you everything you want to know about the product.
Oh liba when you say you hope some of the paint pots can be sheered out - I hope that you can too. I guess with a light hand and fluffy brush this could be possible
They seem really, really close and I wasn't able to actually compare them, but I own Artifact and since I only use it as a base for powder shadows, I don't see the need for both.

I was hoping it would look like this!I am SO GLAD that these Paint Pots are not the transparent loser ones from Cham Pale. I'm definitely picking up the light gold one and the violet one (Treasure Hunt and Half-Wild). I can't justify getting any of the other purple ones though, since I already have Mauvism Paint and a bunch of purple cream shadows from other brands.
For the record, one of the Paint Pots looks almost exactly like Artifact...I can't remember the name now, though
Nubile is gorgeous-it's not super shimmery, and if I didn't already own Perky and Girl Friendly from Fafi, it would be coming home with me as well. It's funny, I love bright colors and super unique shades, but when I swatched all of these on my arm, Nubile stood out to me because it was just so creamy and lovely.
For some reason we hadn't gotten all of the Mattenes in yet; I think they're in a box that we haven't unpacked yet. I am DYING to try the lavender one, Fresh Amour, because lavender is my all-time favorite makeup color, but that's one of the ones we didn't get. The ones we did get didn't seem like anything special so I honestly didn't pay enough attention to remember names/descriptions (remember, I was distracted by all the beautiful Paint Pots!)...I do love the Mattene formula though so I'm sure I'll find a need to get at least a few of these
Oh and Immortal Nail Polish? AMAZING. It looks like liquid gold...kind of like Old Gold Pigment in a bottle!

I'm not sure how long they're supposed to last, but my bare study is about 3 years old and still in great condition.

as in how long on the lids? i can get about 8 hours from them if i use a primer first. 6 hours before creasing without. if you mean in terms of life span they said about 12 months on the pot itself i think. however i have some left from 2007 that are still fine. i think if you use them in a sanitary way you should get a couple of years out of them
