MAC - MAC Me Over Discussion

Hello fellow addicts. My name is I have no willpower. Yes, so I got Mythical. Would've gotten Butternutty too but it was sold out. And somehow Avenue appeared in my bag too. Oh gosh...Let me explain - I swatched Avenue next to Blitz&Glitz and B&G was more black, Avenue much softer. That was enough reason for me.

I love love love Mythical. One of my surprise favourites from the collection, along with Plum Fun.

I got heirloom because I wanted to try a ss. I personally found that they weren't soft enough to use directly from the tube as I had to lean to hard to get enough onto my lid. Instead I used a short stiff brush (a very old mac brush 144) and it worked well. What worked even better was pressing the edge of the ss against the back of my hand so that a small chip mushed off so to speak and then applying it with a brush. I really liked this method. I am think of going back and getting street cool. They won't replace my beloved paint pots but they are nice colours to have
Seeing as how I will be taking a trip to the MAC store soon to pick up all my aforementioned back-ups.....

Those of you who purchased shadesticks and have now had 2 weeks to analyze them, What's the verdict?

I am still interested in Street Cool & Cakeshop, and maybe even Heirloom and Butternutty. Would love to hear any advice or thoughts......

THANKS!

I don't get how people have problems with Shadesticks. I have Sharkskin, Butternutty, Lemon Chiffon and Red Velvet...all are soft and apply smoothly, I've never had any problems with any of them.

For all of the beautiful darker-skinned Specktrettes out there-Mythical is a must have, ladies and gents! I used it yesterday on a woman who is NC50 and it looked so incredible-vibrant and iridescent and gorgeous! I put Brown Script in the crease with Carbon in the corners and then Mythical REALLY popped...I was so in love with her eyeballs and so was she

Not that it isn't flattering on lighter skin tones, I just had to share!

Yay, haul today! I got Runaway Red l/s, Lady Grey Quad, Creamy Bisque, the 211 and 226. Loving Runaway Red and looking forward to playing with the quad. It should be nice for some subtle day looks.

I have to say that I'm feeling mildly disappointed with Dark Envy. I don'y know if it's the colour or my application but I can't get it work properly. The colour pay-off is not what I expected and when I apply it I get these very vivid and bright "edges" and the the center has much less colour/pigment. I've tried it with my 209 and 266 and both do the same thing. Any ideas?
