Oh BTW Immortal nail polish is AMAZING!!! I usually don't get MAC nail polishes and I'm not into metallic polishes. But this shade is gorgeous. I'll be picking it up tomorrow as well.

Yes, you do.

Although Idyllic looks more red in the pot, it has more of a brown tinge when swatched. It will be a very pretty base for Mythical and/or Faux Gold MES.

Sold! You had me at faux gold! I am trying to be a good girl and not buy mythical- I have mythology and Rose pigment so I think if I layer them I will get a similar effect. Do you think this combo would be nice over idyllic?

I'm on my way back from pro now. I got three paint pots, one nail lacquer and one mattene. I'll get into that more once I can get on my laptop. I will say that this is a fantastic collection and I like it way more than mac me over.

If I go to the pro store, will they sell to anyone or is it presale only unless you have credentials?

It should work well. It is not a dupe for Artifact, but close enough, especially if you don't want to hunt down Artifact.

Ok, here's what I bought: Genuine Treasure, Nubile and Treasure Hunt paint pots, Immortal Gold nail lacquer and Fresh Amour mattene lipstick:)haha:). I want to preface by saying these are my impressions from swatching at pro and at home. I haven't put them to use yet. Too tired, but I will update if something turns out to be funky. Genuine Treasure is my favorite paint pot. I was afraid it would be a glitterbomb, but it's not. It's definitely sparkly where the others just have a frost or a sheen. However, the glitter doesn't go all over the place. It's sheerer than the others, but it's buildable to my satisfaction. If you love antique golds, dirty greens like me then you need this. Nubile is my second favorite. It's an interesting shade. Definitely the peachy nude that Mac describes it as being. For my skin, it's natural but with an extra kick. I plan to use this on the lid alone to see how that goes. This one has a sheen, but it's really subtle. Nothing frosty here. Just natural and pretty. Treasure Hunt. is a really pretty, soft yellow with a frost finish. I like this one a lot and it kinda surprised me. It's not gold and I appreciate that b/c outside of dirty golds, I've really lost interest in that color family. Generally speaking all of the paint pots are creamy and buildable. I don't think there's a dud in the bunch. I didn't get Hyperviolet or Half Wild because those are not colors I would use enough to justify buying, but they are pretty. Purple freaks rejoice. I thought I would get one of the blue paint pots, but I ended up passing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them, though. Idyllic looked red in the pot. Straight up red. I thought it looked like a blush. It doesn't swatch red, though. It's gorgeous, but I have Antiqued and all those kinds of colors and even though I have warmed up to those colors, I don't need anything similar in paint pot form. So, it's all on what you like and what you think you will use b/c you can't lose with any of these, in my opinion. Should be permanent. Fresh Amour mattene. Now, I have to laugh at myself for picking this shade. It's trickier than Lavender Whip because of how light it is. It can be tweaked, though. It looks good with Revlon's Lilac Pastelle and Mac's Lavender Wind lipglass(from Spring Colour Forecast) as well as Eclectic Edge gloss(from Sugar Sweet). The good thing and bad thing is that this thing is so creamy. It doesn't drag or skip at all. It just glides on. I have to pat the color on because otherwise, it'll go on full force. Unlike the Sheen Supremes, though, these mattenes really settle in. For me, the SS's seemed to just slip and slide around my lips. The only other mattene that caught my eye when it comes to color is Legendary. So gorgeous. It's a red, but it leans brown. I have similar colors, though from other brands so I left it. I guess I finally have so many lipsticks that it's hard to find a unique color. If that's the case, then why waste the cash? Finally, I bought Immortal Gold nail polish. I can't believe it because I need another nail polish like I need a hole in the head, but this color is gorgeous! It's like a gold infused with green. It reminds me of Chanel's Peridot, but I think that one is in reverse: a green infused with gold. When I was checking out, one of the MUA's had it on her pinky and I knew I made a good choice. It's stunning. Mac nail lacquer's aren't my favorite, but I'll get over it. So, in all I think this collection is tops. Again, it's all about what colors you love. You can't go wrong in my mind. Jump on these ASAP because they will be gone, but that's not news is it?

Stopped by my pro store, but I was in a hurry and didn't buy anything. I'm definitely going back at least for Potent Fig. Unknown Pleasures is beautiful, although I feel like I have a lot of similar reds. I'll have to go back and swatch the others to determine what I want for certain. These mattenes are definitely a bit less dry than previously. I'm wearing Bing today (which, to be fair, was one of the drier shades anyway).

On a side note, I totally agree with those who are wondering why the mattenes aren't permanent. The colours are a nice range to suit a lot of different complexions- good standard shades. But I suppose that's one way that Mac gets people to buy things in a hurry...

Nice early review Shontay. Thanks. Somehow I figured Fresh Amour would look good with Revlon's Lilac Pastelle gloss. I love that gloss! I have a MAC lipstick called Martooni that may be very similar to Fresh Amour so I'll have to check that one out in person to see if it's too much like Fresh Amour. I'm trying not to duplicate colors so much. DILLIGAF said that Immortal Gold is gorgeous too. I haven't purchased a MAC polish in a long time but now I'm very curious about this one.

Nubile, Treasure Hunt and Genuine Treasure paint pot, Immortal Gold nail lacquer and Fresh Amour mattene lipstick. I'm trying to get swatches, but Genuine Treasure isn't coming across properly. I will have to play with camera settings and lighting later.
