Sorry to read that La Furtive didn't work for some of you!

I ended up ordering 2x bu from Chanel's website. I seem to be wearing this color every day either by itself or to help "tone down" some of the brighter shades. ( I also ordered clair eyeliner.)

For those looking for pink nudes, Tom Ford has several pinkish nudes in his new collection. They cost a lot of $$ though.

I can kinda see where Temptalia is coming from with her review. After wearing La Ravissante a few times, I believe it is one of the harder shades to work with. The brightness of it can emphasize imperfections in the lips. I don't find these lipsticks moisturizing, but not incredibly dry either. With La Ravissante, your lips might not look so cute a couple of hours later. I played with my velvets tonight and I see the key is apply the bare minimum. Just dab it on, play around with it by using your finger. Making it a stain is what works (for me at least). La Raffinee, on the other hand, is much easier to work with. It's just a flattering color no matter your complexion and the color is more forgiving of lip imperfections. I say all that to say, I think she should've tested more than one color before giving the review. I'm surprised she went for that color anyway since she usually goes darker first. She happened to pick the fussy shade. I wonder if La Furtive would work for me. It 's so tempting.

on me the velvets are as drying as Nars pure matte lipsticks and MAC matttens, which are a hell lot less drying than MAC matte lipsticks. Everybody has different body chemistry though so the same product will not work the same for us all

Even between the two velvets I have, La Sensuelle is softer and less drying than L'Exuberant.

I went to the counter and tried LaCaline. Love it, so pretty and very subtle on me. I dont have anything like it, the matte effect is great. But I think it is toooo drying, did not feel comfortable on my lips, yes it is lighweight but drying.

The (good) Chanel ladies were telling about this very excellent & "beautiful" (their word) top Chanel MUA that will be coming to that Nordies next month & they insisted that I come back to meet him. He does sound so knowledgeable & talented. They told me that he uses Ebloui es under a lot of the looks he does. They showed me how he did Night Magic over it for a smokey eye & it was gorgeous. Stupid me, I never asked what his name was.

They were still sold out of Clair & Black Jade. Another gal next to me just bought the last Ming & they told me that some lady bought 18 - thats 18!!! Dragon

Well, maybe they'll end up on ebay.

I should probably add Night Magic to my list. I had to go look it up again after I read your post and I think I "need" it! You'll have to let me know what other shadows you use with it/what looks you create!
