Dior liner in palettes is usually like a wet noodle.. no body, no staying power. I am just going by the older versions of these eye liners.. unless they have been revamped entirely.

I don't know about the US, but here in the UK it will be released in Selfridges in early January, then other stores a few weeks later. You guys usually get collections early compared to us, if that helps.
I really can't wait for this collection!

Great stuff, hopefully it'll be already available at Selfridges on Jan 8th, cos I'm in London that weekend! :D

that sounds about right, I think I have one in the Pink Design palette or soemthing like that (I evidently suck with names). It is a gorgeous color and smooth but gone in a about 3 hours IIRC, so yeah, that part sucks--maybe it would last longer with a primer underneath...like a MAC PP

martiangurl.. I have the pink thingie.. lol.

that sucka doesn't stay on with primers or anything.. only way is to use it on top of a gel liner (real gel liner with teeth).. and then it kind of softens the finish. But it's so much trouble to work this product it isn't worth the time or money.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen the proper Dior holiday collection anywhere in Canada. All locations have the palettes, but none of the stand-alone products. I was interested in some of them, so I'm curious to know if they're coming...

Which are the items you are interested in? I've seen the collection and got to swatched them except for the celebration palette. I wanted to get a rouge Dior lipstick but they were frosty. The taupe nailpolish is very pretty. I like the quints, we have 2, couture gold and something less dramatic, I forgot the name. You can see the pic of the quint here. http://www.atouchofblusher.com/2011/09/dior-holiday-2011-makeup-collection.html

I got the Couture Gold quint, but haven't yet got to it - such is the case for a lot of my recent purchases....

. I did not care for the Celebration palette, and agree, the lips were 'too' frosty.

^^^^^ Someone asked me how I use the CDNS.. I use it as follows"

- over foundation as a finish powder for some glow
- over sunblock if I don't want to look like I died the night before ( I never go out without sunblock)
- over cream blush .. which I wear every day as a base for powder blush -- to smooth it out and blot it in prep for powder blush
- over bronzer to give it a smoother pearlescent glow
-- all over the face for a glorious glow (the lightest shades only)

I think it is diorrskin nude powder? Thanks, HG! That powder is really glowy! I'll try all the different ways! Cheryl - you have to let us know what you think of Couture Golds. I'm very tempted, but I don't jump onto the quints because dior products can be a let down for me, so I need to choose wisely. Yes the frosty Rouge Diors are a disappointment. I saw a pink nude today so I may get that later on.

Slowpoke with the Holiday 2011 collection, but I have to say Nocturne is probably THE prettiest lippy I ever bought...and Belle de Nuit is THE most disappointing lippy I ever bought. :/ I love anything with gold infused into it and Nocturne (love the name) is a stunning berry and should be in any person's red lippy arsenal. BdN on the other hand went Ronald McDonald orange-red on me despite my tan skin and was just generally abhorrent.

LOL! Not interested in Ronald McDonald face, thank you. I was interested in Nocturne after seeing Temptalia's review of it. I'll be super-disappointed (but less broke) if the collection never shows here.
