Nars Spring 2012

I was really interested in trying the tinted moisturizer but it contains SPF and I'm allergic to chemical sunscreen.

SPF doesn't necessarily mean chemical sunscreen, though. SPF in this product can be mineral-based. I guess we'll have to wait for the list of ingredients. ;)

Can't wait to find out more about this collection! It'll probably be a pass since red seems to be prominent and I can't do red, but you know....

I'm interested in this, never really tried any Nars products before since I just got into makeup about a few years ago, and mac drives us crazy lol, but i wanna give them a shot. Any recommendations that are must have products (NW 15-20 skin btw)

Their blushes are a great starting point. I'm about the same colour as you and I love Deep Throat (pinky-coral) on my skin. I'm a big fan of their eye shadow duos as well, which give a lot of product for the price and are both complementary and original. I find that their lipsticks can be a little drying, but not terribly. They have some really lovely shades in a wide range. Mayflower is about my favourite "my lips but better" lipstick. Trans-Europe Express is a great, classic deep red.

MACcrazy--I agree with Kate that NARS blushes are great and I also love the e/s duos. The colors in the duos work well together and I've found them easy to work with and not had any blending issues. I don't think I have ever tried their lippies.

Ooh, super excited for Lhasa and Gaiety, and maybe the new matte lippie. I didn't really spring for anything from the holiday collex (might pick up G-Spot later, but since it's perm, no rush), so I'll be happy to haul some new Nars! I love that they always publish what day they're going to have the collex online and it's always fairly early. :)

I have jsut broken out of my MAC rut and atm am loving NARS and chanel.
My ANgelike blush is my faveeee so much easier to blend than say... mac's pink swoon.

In aus NARS e/s duos are $72 so I am NOT willing to pay that!!!

hey do you ladies think I should get the 6 blush pallete from Sephora!?!?!

Hey fellow Aussie! The Australian prices for NARS are INSANE! I also refuse to pay them. I get my NARS from kissandmakeupny or HQhair. NARS is great but it isn't worth what Mecca are charging for it!

Let's make a pact!!!

We all keep bombarding nars with emails and phone calls to open stores in aus!!!!!

I was just in bkk... Their makeup is like 5% cheaper than here and their nars was sooo cheap because they have nars counters!!!!!

Thats proof to me that Mecca are ripping us off!!!!

Well... All of a sudden my Mac priorities went out the damn window... Based on the photos (and I usually find that Nars' photos are more reliable than a lot of other companies), I think I want:

Douce France
Lhasa
Valparaiso
Mexican Rose
Diamond Life

And maybe Paramaribo (not sure how it'll look with blue-grey eyes) and Bilbao. I feel like I have blushes that look like Gaiety, but it's still really pretty. Heck, even the shadow pencil looks nice and I'm not crazy about the creasy formula (although it works fine when set with powder and I need a nice blue base). I think this might be my biggest Nars haul ever.

Not to get off-topic or anything, but I find myself still interested in both Tzigane and Pago Pago lipsticks. I don't know why, but Nars' nudes really seem to draw me in. (Even though Pago Pago seems to look lke a slightly sheerer version of Viva Glam V, which I have). Anyone want to enable/ dissuade me?
