I wore La Furtive today and the best I can say is that it is an 'ok' color. It's very warm, I see alot of peach/brown when I wear it. You definitely need a liner with this one. If you are on the fence, I can't recommend it. If I had a chance to swatch it in the store, I wouldn't have purchased it.
The one I ordered from chanel.com but I'm stuck with the one from eBay - I'm sure I'll find a way to make it work with some different lip liners.

Thanks for your input. I don't think La Furtive would look good on me. I hope you can make yours work for you.

Shontay - Enjoy Raffinee! I get what you mean, if you have something sticky on like gloss, it may get on the mask when you are taking it on/off. These velvets are so saturated too, so they don't need constant touch ups, and Raffinee is so rosy and sophisticated.

Hope you find ways to make it work and like it. I swatched it at the counter and was unsure so I passed.

I think it's due to our different undertones, I like Mystic Eyes a lot because I can't go wrong with it, it's very easy for me to pull it out and apply the colours and blend quickly.

I'm really sad I missed out on Lavande -- it looked like such a gorgeous cool lavender. I have been looking at Silliage -- which looks like an amazing neutral base. I always seem to forget about the singles!
I love the colors in Mystic Eyes, too. I don't know why I have trouble blending the darker color. Maybe I need a new fluffy blending brush??

Are Lancome mattes more moisturising? How about the pigmentation? I'll be all over them if they are like the Velvets but more moisturising. Silly though, my counters haven't received the Lancome mattes. We just got the L'Absolu Nu, unbelievable. Chalys RC is a repromote, I passed it then and I don't think I'll get it this time. Destinee, plum, is a colour I will like but not wear often. Why is chanel releasing a plum lipstick for spring. If it is released this fall/winter I'll be all over it.

I do find that the Lancome mattes are a little more moisturising than the Velvets. The difference isn't HUGE, but I notice it. Pigmentation is on par with the velvets. In particular, they have a coral called "Corset", which I adore. Corals can be tricky on me, but this one is pure love.

It's funny, because I don't even care that the plum isn't seasonally appropriate. I adore plum shades soooooooooooo much that I'll wear them any time.

^ That's Lancome Corset

Thank you, ladies. It's the best coral I've found for my colouring. And I do love the formula. Sadly, the colour selection with Lancome isn't any greater than Chanel's- only about 8 shades total.

FYI, for those of us in Canada. I talked to my Chanel MA today and asked about the Rouge Allure Laques being discontinued. She was surprised to hear it and pulled out her Spring Planogram to confirm. For Canada, Imperial is being discontinued, but everything else is staying, according to her information.

Michelle - I use 217 or 226 to blend. Maybe you need to use less of one colour in Mystic, perhaps the brown or something. I have problems with some quads but when I lessen the amount of a certain colour that I put on, the quad works better.

katred - Gorgeous! I think because my lips are dry, I would notice a difference in the moisture level too. I hope Lancome will bring them here. On the RALs, I have this feeling my counters will be keeping most of them too. My counters still have the Aqualumiere glosses.

If you're fair/light and want a pale pretty nude lip, skip La Furtive. SO disappointed with my purchase. Can you return used items to Chanel that you bought online? :\

It was an online only shade...would have been nice to be able to test in store. $32 down the drain for a matte lipstick that's essentially the same colour as my lips.

Ok, so I searched this thread and I didn't see what I was looking for but does anyone have a suggestion of another Chanel shade that's similar to Dragon? I've tried to wear Dragon a few times but find it's a bit too goopy for my liking (don't throw rocks at me!) but I absolutely love the color. The only Chanel lip shade I have other than Dragon is Porto Rotondo and I love it too but want a few more bright lippies, especially a true, striking red.

Thanks so much for doing that! It was extremely helpful and already I see a few options I want to try out. That was awesome! Is the Extrait de Gloss formula sticky at all? That's one thing I'm not a fan of in a gloss and most MAC glosses seem to have alot of it.

They're not Chanel, but I believe that Guerlain Garconne and Gala Rouge G's are fairly similar to Dragon.

I saw Garconne on Temptalia's site a few days ago and drooled over it too. Not too thrilled about the price but if it comes down to it, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

That's what my SA told me too so I'm happy :) and I have Imperiale already :) Oh and that's a gorgeous coral shade on u Katred. I have that exact same Lancome shade too and it's quickly become my fave coral ever!

So I found a way to wear La Furtive & I LOVE it.

Shiseido lip pencil in RS303 which is a light mauve rose, then Furtive patted over it lightly which looked really nice but then I put a light application just on my bottom lip of Elegante Velvet, & then smooshed my lips together.

It makes THE loveliest shade of pale rose baby pink ever.

^ I did a similar look with Purr (Sienna) liner.. it looks beautiful tho.. I don't think i have that shade of liner from Shiseido. I think any soft pink will do the job.
