Temptalia does say it has a "frosty finish"...and since it's part od the 'Les Rouge Or Collection' I imagine it has to have pretty noticeable gold shimmer.

^^ Yeah I remember I had a good look and swatched the 6 Rouge Dior from holiday and they were frosty. I think I better not buy it because I don't like frosty lipsticks.

Weirdest thing happened. I went to one of my Dior counters yesterday and I realised that Nocturne, the shade I really wanted from the holiday collection (which we never did get) is actually permanent up here. I'll have to check about the other shades, since I was in a hurry and couldn't remember all the names, but it's possible we have them all here. At the very least, it's nice to know that I can get that shade whenever I want.

^^ Good for you! Hope you can hunt down the holiday rouge Diors too. I was at the counter today and Versailles was not displayed. Not sure if it was sold out or it didn't come here. We have Nocturne and I swatched it. It's very pretty, non of the frostiness that the other rouge Dior have.

I have to disagree with the 1 review I saw of Dior Belle de Nuit... I absolutely LOVE this lippie! It is so perfect! I am NC30/35 with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I also tried it on my pale-skinned, hazel-eyed sister AND my blonde-haired, blue-eyed bestie and they BOTH looked Ah-Mazing! It's THEE perfect orange/red with the most beautiful golden "shimmer." I rarely rock a red lip during the day, but this is such a unique and un-harsh shade I have worn it with just about everything day AND night since I received it! Even wearing it today with jeans and a tshirt. Please try it for yourself before juding by reviews, pics, and swatches... You might be pleasently surprised! I even asked for a BU for Christmas! It may just be my new HG "WOW Factor" lippie!
For comparison, other shades I really like in this vein are Chanel Dragon and MAC Hibiscus.
Tried to snap a pic in natural light but it's getting a little dark outside, so the lipstick isn't showing up as unique as it is!

^^ Wow, gorgeous! Love your hair too! I'm not into warm orange reds but I have to look at it again. It wasn't at the counter where I was yesterday, so I have to try elsewhere. My 1 month old diorskin nude compact can't close properly now. The plastic spook at the closure broke off! I'm quite pissed as now I can't buy refills to put it in but have to get the whole thing again. And it's so new!

That lipstick looks great on you PixieDancer! Too bad I can not wear oranges very well. I got Nocturne on Thursday and really like it. I even like the frostiness it was, it gives dimension to the color. But when I applied it my lips were tingling, never had this before with a lipstick. Do they have some lip plumping effect?

^^ Enjoy your new lipstick! Interesting about the frostiness, maybe I'll like it too. I've never tried a Rouge Dior on my lips before. How long does the tingling feeling last? PixieDancer - Thanks, I'll try my luck by bring the compact to the counter. My country is very strict about the exchange policy so I'm not optimistic.

Thanks bis! Trust me, I didn't think Belle De Nuit would look good on me either when seing it in the tube. But it seems to look good on everyone I tried it on! It seems to be universally flattering. Give it a try, you might be surprised! Nocturne sounds pretty too, I'll have to check it out. I don't know about lip plumping, that seems different! Hmm? Now I'm really curious!

It's there for 10-15min and it is not really very unpleasant, a slight tingling. Not sure, it's my first lipstick from Dior, except that I only have one Dior Addict lipstick and no issues with this one :dunno: But the color is great, a very wearable berry shade.
hehe, trust me, you do not want to see me with orange on my lips, clashes horribly with my hair color. Hope Santa brings you the backup you wish for

^^ I had an old Dior Addict lipstick too, before they change the packaging, and it didn't give me the sensation.

I wore it again and this time no tingling, no idea why. Not sure about the colour of Nocturne any more, it might be a bit to warm immediately after I apply it. But with the current lighting it's hard to tell.... Did you look at the lipsticks again?

bis - No I will go to another counter, probably the one at Sephora to look at the lipsticks. The counter I was at didn't have some of the holiday colours. Good to know there wasn't any tingling feeling this time! Swatches of the spring nail polishes.
