Please Help

I just went to a beauty counter looking for help in finding my perfect foundation. I ended up with Stila illuminating liquid foundation. Honestly i dont feel like i should have gotten it. Im wanting to try NARS, MAC, or Estee Lauder. My skin type is oily T zone, with some dry spots. My match for the stila foundation was 40 Watts. Please if you could give me some equivalencies I would be so appreciative. Thanks so much!

I have combination/oily skin as well. I find that illuminating type foundations (ex: NARS Sheer Glow, MAC Studio Sculpt) do not work well for me at all. I second the MUFE Mat Velvet + suggestion. You may also like Revlon Colorstay (combination/oily formula), MAC Matchmaster (if you don't have super sensitive skin) or MAC Studio Fix Liquid. Some sort of primer will also be essential. Whether you use Milk of Magnesia or one of the commercially available primers, I'm sure you will notice that you get the best finish and wear when a primer is used. I'm sorry that I can't help much with color suggestions. You may find Temptalia's Foundation Matrix helpful.
