The swatches of the eyeshadows came out all patchy on my arm....not sure if it was the matte formula or not. I had high hopes for Diamond Dove. The lipsticks are creamy matte when I swatched it. Very bright....I have Show Orchid and that's about as bright as I will go.

If you use a primer, they won't be patchy. I found them quite smooth for matte shades, but of course, they are not as easy to work with as VP finishes. However, the matte shades are gorgeous.

Which ones did you pick?

I'm skipping this collection because I can dupe it with things I already have; plus I need to save for spring collections.

I hope there are face charts though, cause I would love to create some inspired looks!

Firecracker is more vibrant and it has a light frosty sheen, whereas EB is more muted and features a matte finish.

I'm one a "matte kick" lately! Find the finish to be so polished and sophisticated! Which eyeshadows from this collection do you see as "must haves?"

Flamingo, party parrot and pink pigeon are amazing, have to have them! But, I'm not quite sure about the shadows yet.

yes I have a pro store near me and I have a really good relationship with the people there. I usually am able to see testers and preorder before it's put out on the floor =)

primer! that's what i forgot to grab LOL the store was so busy and I was in the corner happy that I got to swatch the collection first...didn't even THINK about trying it with primer...smh

The hilarious thing is that the name Moleskin actually made it MORE appealing to me, because moleskin is in fact a very, very soft, suede-like fabric that is very touchable and drapey. It didn't even occur to me that it'd get interpreted as roadkill hehe. This is what I get for all those years as a clothing designer, I guess. D'oh.

ITA. I bought it without seeing it because of that association and it has not failed in that aspect. I used to have a pair of moleskin pants, so soft!

Thanks again for these swatches!! I'm definitely skipping the shadows, because I feel like I already have similar colours from Mac or elsewhere (that aren't patchy). It's funny because the two PPs look like matte versions of Fusion Pink and Show Orchid. Flamingo still looks like a go for me. Of the matte shades, I'll have to check, as I've promised myself as a "making it through Christmas" gift that I'll try some new brands I've been meaning to check out as well.

I'm getting a couple of shadows. Not sure which ones, though. I think I want the coral one. I am always fascinated by coral shadows even though I have found the HG in Mufe. I'm skipping the lipsticks. As tempting as they may be, mattes are not my friend.

Your right! I'll still get them though and Flamingo(I think). Definitely will skip all the eyeshadows(Inglot does better mattes IMO).

I think Party Parrot, Pink Pigeon and Scarlet Ibis are all coming home with mama. And of all the e/s, Silver gull is the most appealing to me. I like Howzat, but I think I have a depot, I must check...if not, no self-respecting member of Team Grey can pass it up I guess
