Anyone in the NYC area receive an invite? I would like to attend but don't know where to start. I remember my MAC in the local mall had an event for the VV collection (received invite) but I couldn't attend.

The MAC FS at the Eaton Centre is having an event on Jan 31st. I got an invite and signed up for the 7:00 PM slot. The last event I went to was Hello Kitty and it was super crowded, but I already had a list of what I wanted so wasn't in there for very long (plus I was too tired after working all day and then having to hang around for 2 hrs, I wanted out with my stuff as quickly as possible). I'm hoping swatches/reviews will show up online, I don't feel like elbowing people to see the products LOL. I have a +1 with my invite so anyone who's interested in being my MAC "date" (LOL) that evening let me know.

Last time they gave me one when I was buying some eye shadow at the store, but I was there yesterday for Naturally and no mention of an event.

I went to my local Mac. I signed up for Feb 9 at 11 am. One of the very first to get in there. The manager, who knows me, is excited. he said it's "ridiculous". He said it's Stepford Wives meets...he couldn't quite finish, but he had me at Stepford Wives.

I got a card from the stand alone store here today. There is no preview party I can just sign up for a make-up appointment based on the collection ($50) on February 23-26 which is the only way to get the free giveaway. I'm going to sign up for opening day of the collection if there are any spaces left.
