I'm the same way PinkBasset. I don't have problems with red lipsticks, but nudes don't do me any good anymore. I used to rock a nude lip, not sure what changed, but I prefer bold(er) colors now.

I guess I'm the opposite, I can take any red there is and I know it will look good on me. But nudes, there are very few that look good without adding anything else to the look. I just find bad nudes are the worst when it comes to poor make up.

me too! I'm quite lucky with lips' stuff unless it's a pink nude!
I'm curious to see a color story and look at the lipsticks but I hope to not buy too much!!! I've already bought bright ones with Iris Apfel! I don't need another blue red, I'm really satisfied of Runaway red ^^

Im constantly stalking this thread and everywhere online I can to try and see this colour story. I hate waiting :(

I ended up with more from Iris than I planned but when a collection is bright, Im like a magpie with shiny things... I cant help myself and want everything.

I know what you're saying. The wrong red is so aging and makes me look like a hag. Heartless looked awful on me - tried it on in the store and went

. Meanwhile, Runaway Red's looked super on me from the end of summer, when I still had a deep tan to right now, when I'm at my lightest. Even the wrong nude usually never looks as drastic as a bad red, that's for sure! Here's to you finding THE ONE for you!
I haven't found mine yet! I'm NC15-20 with redness and redhead. I only have a few reds: Cockney, Heartless, Runaway Red (turns eventually pink on me) and Kanga Rouge. Cockney looks the best on me, Kanga Rouge I haven't used many times yet, the others I don't know... can't afford an aging one!?
I'm looking forward to Scarlet Ibis though, it coming today or tomorrow.

I'm curious about the tendertones, I've never used them before.

So, as I am trying to put together a wishlist/budget I have to ask: is there really that much colour difference once they are on the lip that a person needs more than one or two?

Thanks for the help.

I personally love Tendertones but I found that they do not give a lot of colour payoff (my lips are pigmented though), some have a bit of shimmer. They are strawberry-kiwi-like scented and one of my top lip balms since they make my lips feel moisturized for hours (your results may vary). At first, these feel kinda sticky in a way but then melt onto the lips, probably just a function of using a finger to apply vs a straight from the tube type product. I like these over MACs TLC/regular lip conditioner (pot and tube) because of the scent, texture and overall moisturizing factor.

I ended up getting all of the Tendertones released in 2008 plus a back up of Tread Gently which I keep in my purse at all times. Not many other lip balms have replaced these and I've been rotating between jars hoping I don't run out before I had the chance to get more. My budget for S3/C3 is going to include a huge portion just for Tendertones. I really wish MAC would make these perm!

I hope Scarlet Ibis works for you - I'm NC15 and it looks red on me, not orange - it was just as good on me as Runaway Red, but I do best with reds that very obviously lean blue or orange. I have black hair and no tendency towards redness, though. If you have a chance to try Party Parrot, that one might really work for you - it's already very red leaning and with your coloring, it might look even redder on you.

Now you're making me more excited for SI! I'm also NC15 and like Runaway Red and Russian Red. I've not tried a orange based red so far, this will be my first!

Oh no, I just bought two TLC's! It will be forever before I can start using the Tendertones, but I might as well get one.

Just wondering - is this special packaging? I really can't tell from the pic whether those are just fun images, or the outside of the boxes.

I am dying for the color story as of now and the event is three weeks away and the official collection released in a month.

I just heard that I'm going to get my black box tomorrow!! (I left a note on my home door for the delivery guy, he called and I ask them to deliver the box to my work, which will happen only tomorrow :( ). I think SI will look red on me too, because usually everything turns red on me, even purples (Lavender Whip is pink on me). I ordered also Party Parrot (in fact all the new ones). I'm sure it's a good one since I like Pink Fusion, too. Can't wait!
