Just a little random note lol. I noticed tonight that my 286 brush has "China" printed on it - I would think it was fake except I bought it direct from the MAC site...My 188 says "Japan", and my 217, 226, and 249 say "France"...is MAC now manufacturing some of their brushes in China?

There are quite a few LE brushes that are (were) made in China, e.g. Semi-Precious, Raquel Welch, etc. As long as the quality is great, it doesn't bother me.
what do you think of the brush? it is on my list to get because i think i could get good use out of it... what do you think? a must for my brush collection??

Hold That Pose is totally different from Aurora! Colorwise it is much much MUCH cooler, but it is also a completely different texture, very sparkly. I love HtP...but if I could have that color with Aurora's texture I would be in eyshadow perfection heaven!

I still need to type up my review. I've got too much on my plate these days
But in a nutshell: I love the 286 for a light and easy all-over application of MES. If you like the 224 for its shape and the 223 for its long synthetic fibers, you will certainly like the combined benefit of the duofibres in the 286, which makes blending of MES a piece of cake. It really depends if you (a) use a lot of MES and (b) prefer a more natural look. I will try to write a more detailed review some time this week.

Sucked in AGAIN by this collection! Stopped by my MAC counter today... just to "look around" (Famous Last Words), and I spotted a gorgeous TF MES that looked SO much nicer than mine I had to grab it! More of the pink/lavender-ish veining than the muddy brown mess mine looked like from my online order. Scrolled back several pages and it looks REALLY similar to MacGuy's TF! YAY! I think I will like this shadow so much more now!
ALSO... I "HAD" to grab SB MB! Partly because now it is sold out online and it is haunting me... even though I had myself NEAR convinced I "could do without another pink blush." But the MAIN reason is the HOLY LOVELY BEAUTIFUL TEXTURE (MacGuy's "Spreadable Butter" ref comes to mind)! I have other pink blushes but NOTHING like these! I'm going to have a hard time convincing myself I don't need backups now that I know my MAC counter is still pretty well stocked with this collection!
Naturally got me good! Now if I can JUST keep myself away from Blonde MSF... I may get away without having EVERYTHING from this collection! HeeHee

I personally haven't used my 286 yet, but it sure is pretty to look at lol. I've been pretty rushed lately getting ready for the day, so piggies and MES tend to take the backburner.

maybe you could try with a smoky blu eye and a warm nude lip! If I could rock a blue smoky eye I would do this, but I'm quite comfortable with warm stuff on me
