The fact that is is more lavender makes it more unique. Whereas purple is more blue-red based, lavender usually contains a hint of grey, which makes FoJ stand out in a subtle, more editorial way. For those who loved the Gareth Pugh products, FoJ certainly fits the bills. If GP have had another blush, it would be FoJ.

Elude b/p + Restrict l/s + Vacant l/g + Ardent e/s + FoJ blush + Strada blush (as a contour) = Color editing par excellence.

Wow! I never even thought of that. I think FoJ will look great with the two glosses I have from Gareth Pugh. I love combos involving old and new products.

I cannot WAIT for this collection to hit the regular mac site. Hoping for pans but if not oh well. Definitely on board for the lavender blush as well as all the pink ones, plus Pink Cult from So Reel..my question is.. could I pull off an ORANGE blush?? I am fair, NC20ish and below.. my icon to the left is of me.. what do you guys think?

You look fairly close to my complexion (NC/ NW15ish) and I find that orange blushes work surprisingly well. They offer a bright colour, but they're a little more forgiving than straight red blushes (although I love those too!)

It's the hues of grey that all these products have in common.

On a side note: the remainder of GP just arrived in the Good bye section.

When I asked a Mac MUA about Modern Mandarin...they compared it to Peaches, Lovecloud to Pink Swoon... Doesn't make sense....

If you search for something on MAC's website, and it is no longer available, they suggest alternatives which would supposedly give the same look. Often the colours are way different.

I'm pretty sure that they have recommended dupes that they get from head office. Sometimes, they're able to suggest better matches from their own personal experience

Ut oh. Do I need to snatch Elude? I wear the lightest in MUFE HD foundation. So in MAC terms guess youd say NC15

I wish Restrict wasnt sold out. I never got a backup and its my HG nude! :( I might have to resort to buying it off of Ebay for way more then retail :(

Elude is so beautiful, its become my HG of all powder foundations, setting powders and just pretty to look at

I am so glad I ended up grabbing Restrict as well from that collection, its a beautiful nude to mute out my lips
Get it before it's gone.

I also found out today at my local Mac that we are getting this in April and have my name down to check it out before it hits stands to swatch and purchase

Just went to check on the release date in the UK and it is def the first Thursday in April, YAY!
And my lovely SA at my local MAC is going to hold all 6 for me so that even if I am having a baby when the collection is launched (since that is my due date) I will not miss out! How awesome is that??????

Now let's see if I am still as crazed over 6 new blushes with a newborn in my arms.......
That will be a true test of my makeup addiction!

That is very cool! I don't think you will need the blushes after your beautiful baby is born though. You will have that natural mommy glow. Wishing you all the best. Please keep us posted on baby & blushes.
