I just wanted to add that I like the mattene formula more than the prolongwears. Mattene is slightly thicker, less creamy and less slippery, so they apply nicer. Prolongwears are thinner and creamier so it has more slip on the lips. It is harder to apply evenly. I also hate the packaging on the prolongwears >_< Now if they did it in a slimmer tip, I would be buying more. Mine would scroll up but wont come back down, so you have to be careful. If you scroll up too far, it's over. lol

Not a stupid question at all. They are a long-lasting formula, but they're more of a satin than a matte finish. They're not drying- in fact they're fairly comfortable, assuming your lips are in reasonably good shape. The colour tends to be very pigmented. The colours tend to be creams- a little bit flat but nicely pigmented. They remind me a little of the satin-finish MUFE lipsticks.

I'll probably get Heart Hangover since I'm a sucker for purples, but if this is like smoked purple or prince noir, i'll pass. i bought those with really no place to wear them.

I wish this would be released earlier. It's such a long time with no collections in April/May, and then suddenly too many at once.

Really? I get so much use out of my beloved Prince Noir, I've worn it everywhere from going out to lunch/errands to funerals lol:D

I bought it a long time ago, so I doubt it. D; I haven't used it much either, so I don't think it was my fault lol. I do remember reading about how it has happened to lots of people though. Hopefully the new ones are "fixed" lol

Eeeek. Did the mechanism break? This sounds really annoying. I hope you could return it.

YAH!!!! FINALLY A COLOUR STORY! The collection came out alot larger than I thought it would and soooo stoked that Embrace Me will be repromoted!! Backup time! I love mine and use it to death with a few of my lippys!

Shade and smoke pencils could be interesting if the liners are decent quality, but I have to admit that I am not a fan of double ended pencils

My list of definates so far -

Lipstick
Dear Diary - Bright neon pink

Liner
Embrace Me - Vivid pinkish fuchsia

just on the pro long wears,
Im not a big fan the colour range (I believe) leaves a lot to be desired.....
I dont like the tip makes it impossible to apply out of the tube with the rounded edge and Im not a big fan of applying l/s with a brush!!
I also dont like the way they sit on my lips or feel... just my opinion.

I really wish mac standard l/s were square It is an absoloute nightmare trying to find a way to store them!
I want to keep them in a drawer that all my makeup is in but there is not enough height for a l/s holder and they dont stand up due to the bulled tip otherwise!

Maybe you can invest in a new storage system for your lipsticks. I save the cardboard boxes of my MAC items and I cut the box in half to make 2 holders and tape them together to make rows. I do this with my blush compacts too. I don't have a picture of my lipsticks, but you get the idea. With the lipsticks done this way, you can put the bottom stickers facing up so you can see the labels ;D I have a multi-tiered plastic drawer trolley I got from canadian tire and I store my lippies on the bottom ones that have the most height. Saves lots of space like this.

This is so smart! I currently keep all my lipsticks standing in a small tupperware but I am running out of space so I am looking for storage ideas. Thanks!

I use ice cube trays for my MAC lipsticks, like this:

They're the "dot" ice cube trays, I got them at my local grocery store last summer for 99 cents each! Since Summer in the US is quickly approaching, keep an eye out for them in your area! I cut the ends off so that it was more square and would fit in my desk drawer, but fortunately it doesn't add much height since the drawer I keep my lipsticks is rather shallow. The container itself doesn't like being moved around - I always lose a couple lipsticks when I have to move it, but if it's on a surface or in a drawer it keeps the lipsticks contained and the labels facing up.

I love that idea, I have never seen anything like that in Australia!

I have been using Lipstick display stands to hold mine and put them in a particular order so I know what one is what, but I hate that I cant see the label! grrrr

Yup! Those are the same as what I have, just in a different color :) I cut the triangles ends off with scissors lol. But that's them! Each one fits 60 MAC lippies!
