I cut the triangles ends off with scissors lol. But that's them! Each one fits 60 MAC lippies!

Great idea!
I had to get a giggle out of the picture though. I see you like the Revlon Lip Butters as much as I do. We have the exact same shades.

I use ice cube trays for my MAC lipsticks, like this:

They're the "dot" ice cube trays, I got them at my local grocery store last summer for 99 cents each! Since Summer in the US is quickly approaching, keep an eye out for them in your area! I cut the ends off so that it was more square and would fit in my desk drawer, but fortunately it doesn't add much height since the drawer I keep my lipsticks is rather shallow. The container itself doesn't like being moved around - I always lose a couple lipsticks when I have to move it, but if it's on a surface or in a drawer it keeps the lipsticks contained and the labels facing up.

Haha I love 'em for work! They're quick to grab and apply on the go for those rushed mornings :) I bought one just to try and loved it. Then soon after, they started popping up everywhere. Walgreens had a bogo 50% off so I went overboard and bought a ton of 'em!

I love the ice cube tray idea! Very clever, and awesome that you can read the labels. Now that I have finally seen the Beth product listing, I think I can skip this
collection, nothing looks up my alley at all.

I love the mattenes because they feel so light on the lips. Really dark colors can be a bit of a pain to apply evenly and keep looking even, though - Potent Fig & Midnight Media, I'm lookin' at you. Dark colors in prolongwear are easier to deal with by far.

One thing about that wide shape of the prolongwears and the sheen supremes - when you use it a few times, it starts to conform to the shape of your lips and then application straight from the tube is as easy as from a standard lipstick. Takes about 5 applications or so for them to get just the right shape on me.

This is my lipstick holder:

It is a regular test tube rack. I think it is just perfect for Mac l/s. I ordered mine from eBay, but medical supply companies sell them too. The rack hole size is 20mm. They come also in white which I ordered too, but was delevered blue ones (Argh! The seller's English was so poor, I did not even think to complain). I have 3 of these now. The one pictured holds my 40 lustres.

I emailed the seller on eBay with the ice cube trays and asked if I could request white, I was told that it is random and i can't choose! Think I will look elsewhere as I only want white, OCD lol

Tx liba!!! Maybe I will try the two purple prolongwear lippies from this collection. I love Potent Fig mattene, but as you mentioned, it's a pain in the tush to get an even coat on my lips.

Ohh! That's a great idea, too! I love the different organization ideas!

I'm loving the storage ideas. I'm so sloppy, I just have things thrown haphazardly around in a few drawers, and keep my main staple items in a cosmetic bag. Think it's probably time to mature a bit and organize as well.

This will be a small haul for me. I'm thinking just embrace me and new hue.

I love both formulas, really anything in the matte range that has come out over the last 12 months or so has been divine. They got rid of the dry, chapped lip effect and you get a lippy that lasts and lasts. I agree no scrolling too far or your doomed. Wonder if anyone has tried the really dark Mattenes with a lip brush to see if it helps the application go smoother and less skips? I also really moisturize first, but you have to let the balm or tender tone sink in good first and maybe blot with a tissue to be sure not to mix it with the matte or mattene or the finish isn't the same.

Since I do like the Prolongwear lip formula, I think I will be getting those 2 purple shades and maybe the pinkie nude. Since I can't skip, I maybe have to check out the polka dot face powder. Its too unique to skip I think. Wonder if the blue dots will make it anything like a blue veined Lightscapeade when swirled? I know that is too much to hope for, but swatches will be telling...

I use a lip brush for Seeds of Desire. As you said, a well moisturized lip is essential to achieve an even application, but that probably goes for all lippies.

I knew that a BD collection was coming out, but i just discovered this thread.

OMGWTF! Some previous posters mentioned Blueberry Fizz and and Jungle Juice - i just found photos of them and i would be there in a flash to pick them up (and bu's) if they were re-promo'ed!

I still have a no-longer-wearable tube of Biba's Metallic Grandma - a somewhat violet-inflected indigo sparkling with silver glitter - i got when it was new in the late 60s or very early 70s. Early this year i snagged Lime Crime's sapphire blue Loop-de-Loop glitter gloss. And I wear my MAC Peacocky - just had it on yesterday enlivened with a little Summer Showers lipstick and edged with Spring Bean gloss.

I sure hope there are some "unsafe" looking colors in the BD collection. For me, nearly all the lavender-pink and red-purple lipsticks from MAC this past year have been too much the same, too safe, and NOT violet enough. (yes i did get Potent Fig :)

I'm still reading through the thread, so if there's a product reveal i haven't gotten there yet...

Oooh! I picked up a whole bunch of those - even colors i wouldn't normally wear - because they all looked so amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing the new colors.

[still playing catch up on this thread]
