MAC Hey, Sailor! (Summer 2012) Discussion

Where did you order from? I ordered from Debenhams yesterday lunchtime and had the dispatch e-mail by 5 pm or so already, so hoping it will arrive tomorrow.

I ordered from the MAC UK site on Monday, but I paid for named day delivery.

Not impressed. If it sends today it'll be here tomorrow when no one is home.

If it sends tomorrow and arrives on Friday it'll be the longest wait I've ever had with MAC, especially as I ordered it on Monday. I usually have things within 48hrs - I know it sounds like I might be being a tad bitchy/whiny about it, but I'm just not used to waiting with them, lol. Plus, with the day I've had and the day I'm gonna have tomorrow I could really use the pick me up of fun new make-up to play with.

I don't think I am going to be home either but the yodel guy comes at weird times so who knows :/

I hate paying for delivery too and I think if they don't move their butts from now on I'll choose to wait the ridic amount of days and order from Debenhams for the points. Blah, annoyed. Lol.

I've decided all I want from this collection is the Crew highlighter. Can't believe it. It's seriously the only thing that has peaked my interest! This is actually a good thing, though, since I want almost every damn thing from the Heavenly Creatures collection....

Yeah i ordered on monday too. I havent ordered direct from mac in a while but it seems alot slower than the department stores delivery times

I called them earlier today and I was told it was scheduled to ship today. The last time I ordered I was told the same thing but in the end my package left their warehouse 2 or 3 days later. Fingers crossed...

"Scheduled to ship" usually means that a shipping label is created. The pick up might indeed be later. I hope this helps to understand the process.

Oh ok... I have had times when I ordered on a Monday and received my stuff on Thursday. On the other hand, it also took more than two weeks once. Anyways, I will contact FedEx / MAC tomorrow and hopefully it has been picked up today....

I've actually had that happen once. I think it was because I requested overnight shipping.
I guess the system couldn't update as fast.

That's happened to me a few times now. In fact, there are 2 orders from 2007 that still show as "In Warehouse" when I look at my order history lol

Isn't delivery within 2-5 working days? I ordered on Monday, so I suppose if it's not here by Friday it's classed as 5 days, right? Bad I wanna complain? I'm really bummed out about this, I've never had such long waits. I always have my order within 48hrs, unless it's over a weekend, obviously. :/

I'm not too fussed whether it comes tomorrow or not, but since I can't go swatching tomorrow, it would be nice to have something to look at. I actually don't think Debenhams are that bad at all, the longest I've had to wait was around 5-6 days with weekend in the middle, normally I get things within 3-4 days.

For anybody who has seen shore leave lip pencil is it similar to hip & happy pencil and would it be a good base for impassioned

I prefer Debenhams because I'm usually at uni from 7am to 7pm, so there's no-one in the house to sign for MAC boxes! Also points are awesome - I'll be getting £15 worth off my stuff tomorrow

I can never go swatching, which I think is why I become so impatient. Last time I ordered from Debenhams it was about 5-6 days.. which for me is just too long, lol. I need to buy some patience rather than more make-up it would seem.
