I've only used on mineralized product - and it gave me wicked cystic acne that took weeks to fully heal. And I'm in my 40s. I won't be going back for more. I've been told that there's something in them (not sure what) that causes that kind of reaction in some, and not to purchase any. Too bad, because so many of them are lovely.

On the upside, it does make the limiting purchase thing easier. One large segment of MAC that I can't even consider buying.

It's funny - I've tried to do a big write up a few times on my opinions so far on this (GORGEOUS) collection, but every time I did, it'd get long and my browser would crash.

Maybe this time I'll break it up into two posts!

Lipstick $14.50(USD)/ $17.50(CAD)
Pleasureseeker - Creamy peach (Glaze) - 'not a fan of Glaze finish. This one will be a skip unless it's just the perfect shade on me, with zero effort.
Cut a Caper - Mid-tone peachy pink (Lustre) - 'didn't look good on me the 1st time around. Skip for me, though some other folks love it.
Venus - Sheer yellow pink with pearlized pigments (Lustre) - This year's brighter, cuter Gem of Roses. Probably will get it, but I bet I'll still prefer GoR to it.
Fire Sign - Red-pink (Lustre) - I'm hoping for Lustre version of Runaway Red with a slight pink undertone. DROOL, will buy! Good BU chance on it too.
Cusp of Dawn - Beige pink (Lustre) - Looks like one of my all-time fave nudes, Call My Bluff, with a pinker cast. If it's also the good new Lustre finish, OMG time! Could be mega-ultra-love.

Cremesheen Glass $19(USD)/ $22.50(CAD)
Celestial Kiss - Pale cool peach - 'looks like a pinker version of Natural Flare, which is a touch too yellow on me. Could wind up going either way, though I bet it'll look good on top of Pleasureseeker.
Strictly Plutonic - Mid-tone pink brown - Goorgeous! LOVE mid-tone cremesheen glasses. Only sorry it's not as plummy as my beloved Looks Like Sin, which I'm running out of and very sad about!
Meteoric - Mid-tone vibrant coral - This year's Geopink. Considering I wore the heeelllll out of that one last year, I'm up for the 2012 version.
Astral - Bright yellow pink - Not sure about it. Looks better in the photo than from the description. Will need to see it in person.
Galaxy Rose - Mid-tone violet pink - Coming home with me for 100% sure, with BU!!

Mineralize Skinfinish $29(USD)/ $34(CAD) - Let me just say, if these are the texture of last year's SP MSFs or better, I'm gonna go bonkers for at least a couple.
Earthshine - Tarnished bronze with gold pearlized pigments and pink reflects - No way in the universe I'm NOT getting this one. Sounds stupendous.
Light Year - Peachy pink with gold shimmer - Don't really need anything with gold shimmer, since WoG is enough golden effect for my taste. Will have to see it.
Star Wonder - Plumy pink with multi-dimensional pearlized pigments - Getting this for sure - the plummy cast and opalescence is making me get all worked up just thinking about it.
Center of the Universe - Coral with gold shimmer - I'm sure this will be way better than Stereo Rose, but since I have plenty of that one and prefer MSFs I can use full face, the verdict is out for me.

Mineralize Blush $23(USD)/ $27(CAD) - I'm expecting the Naturally MBs with added beautiful metallic sheen! Can't wait!!
Solar Ray - Peach and gold melange - 'looks like Fresh Honey with shimmer. I think I can hold out and just use an MSF or EDSF over FH.
Ring of Saturn - Terracotta and gold melange - This will be the hidden winner of the MBs. Looks like the perfect earthy color for any time of day or night maximum sexy.
Stratus - Amethyst and golden brown melange - Insanely beautiful. I may be NC15, but I'm not afraid of this color at all. A must buy for me.
Supernova - Magenta and burnt gold melange - I held out on Magenta blush for this one. The sheen will make it much easier to wear on me, since it will be more dimensional and less flat like doll cheeks. I'm excited for it, since as much as I love a hot magenta color in the pan, previous ones out there have never been the right texture and I've always skipped. 'Not happening this time!

Seeing the words french fries makes me start to drool. Give me french fries over candy any day.

I figure that one of the reasons I love living in Quebec is because it is a place that LOVES its fat. I enjoy sweets, but really more as a small taster and even then, if it's too sugary, it disagrees with me. But fries and cheese and buttery things? BRING IT ON.

I'm curious to see how all these products will look when swatched, because it's always so difficult to tell with Mineralized collections. I never gave a second thought to Cloudy Day when Naturally came out, then I saw it in practice and now I use it a couple of times a week at least. (FYI, given the size of my stash, it says something if I use a product more than once or twice a month.)

Right now, I'm interested in:

Lipstick $14.50(USD)/ $17.50(CAD)
Fire Sign - Red-pink (Lustre)- I'm almost certain I'm going to have a dupe for this, but I still love my red-pink shades

Cremesheen Glass $19(USD)/ $22.50(CAD)
Galaxy Rose - Mid-tone violet pink- I love the description, but I haven't been thrilled with the formula. Too sheer and short-lasting for me.

Mineralize Blush $23(USD)/ $27(CAD)
Stratus - Amethyst and golden brown melange- I suspect this is going to be too warm for me, even in summer, but I'm interested to see it

Mineralize Eye Shadow $20(USD)/ $24(CAD) - all frost finish
Neo Nebula - Cream, warm amethyst and warm pink melange
Invincible Light - Icy white, lavender and warm gold melange
Bright Moon - Grey, silver and icy green melange- Honestly, this is the one I'm really interested in... The others, I'm mostly just a little curious to see how they look

Even that is a bit of a stretch for me... I'm not a huge fan of mineralize products and I don't even use the ones that I have that often. We shall see.

I like the fact the swirls are much chunkier looking than the Semi-Precious MES for better color selection; and I bet the texture on this will be even nice, with that less glitter overall and more of the texture of my all-time favorites like Hold That Pose and Daylight. Even still, I don't want to dupe colors I still have plenty of from SP. There are a few I know I don't have straight dupes for, though, and if I get a few that are similar to ones I already have, it'll only be if the texture is dramatically better than what I already have (which is why I got a couple of the ED shadows, which were very similar to MES I already had, and I feel OK about that hehe)

HEAVENLY CREATURE (Eyes) (North America - July 5, 2012/ International - July 2012)
Mineralize Eye Shadow $20(USD)/ $24(CAD) - all frost finish
Aurora - Peach, green, and brown melange - I don't usually do well with pale olive greens like Modern Pewter and Dalliance, so if this one actually works on me, I may get it.
Magnetic Attraction - Orange, pink and gold melange - looks warm and glowing apricot. Don't think I've got a dupe and will probably snag this one for my green eyes.
Neo Nebula - Cream, warm amethyst and warm pink melange - may be dupeable, but will get based on texture and if I can get one with plenty of amethyst.
Universal Appeal - Gold, bronze and violet melange - sounds lovely, may be close to Daylight. With the right swirls, may break down and buy.
Invincible Light - Icy white, lavender and warm gold melange - not sure this will do anything for my coloring. will resist unless it's magical.
Earthly - Beige, peach and cool brown melange - I skipped Havana, since it was the wrong cool brown for me. Probably won't need this either, fingers crossed, especially if it's not nicer than Twilight Falls.
Water - Yellow, lime green and blue melange - Looks like a combo of Jade's Fortune and Unsurpassable, but with bigger swirls to pull from. I don't honestly need it, but it sure is pretty. Will probably resist.
Bright Moon - Grey, silver and icy green melange - one of those colors that usually doesn't look good on me. 'Looks like Hint of Sapphire, which is also a color I usually can't wear, but somehow works on me - so the verdict is out for reason of possible dupe and/or if it works.
Sky - Green gold, turquoise and cobalt melange - for sure getting this one - the cobalt shade is perfect and is going to be a huge color going forward into Fall. Here's hoping it's nice and dense, rather than being too sheer.

I'm going to finally get the duo fiber eye brush, I bet. I'm not interested in the VAE, so all you other ladies can have mine! 'Still going to be an expensive haul for me, whatever way you cut it.

Liba! Your descriptions are so detailed. I'm wondering if there are new pics or if you got a preview of the products.

I pretty much agree with all of that! And I love your detailed break down! The bolded names are the ones I think will make the final cut for me. I will get all of the MSF for a certainty, I had major skipper's remorse from the MSF from Semi Precious. I can always sell them on the clearance bin here if they don't work, ANd if they are anything like the latest from Extra Dimension, they are going to be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I am a little worried Earthshine will be too dark, but I can use a fan brush if necessary to sheer it out.

I think after all these matte lippies, I will be ready for some Lustre. I have Pleasure Seeker and I really didn't think it was all that, but I am betting Fire Sign and Cusp of Dawn will be winners. I hope the latter has some sparkle, otherwise it will just look like other nudes I have (like Hue, perhaps?) I think Venus will be quite flattering across most skin tones. And with the name Venus, how will it not get lots of love?

I actually like less shimmer with my MB, so these may mostly be a skip. I think Supernova will be a winner though--as Tippy is one of my favorite blushes, this will be like Tippy on crack, shimmer and swirl pattern. No way I can skip it. To tell the truth, ring of Saturn sounds like it will be up my alley too. I hope its like Equilibrium with shimmer. If so, it will be a go to.

I can't even predict which MES I will want until I see them swirled. I think the apricot and the mossy green one. After that, I need swatches to see what the melange of color will develop. (Probably Earthy, Bright Moon, and Magnetic Attraction will get my bucks)

I have to say, I am loving all these names, being an astronomy and astrology geek chick.

I am too on a diet. I have lost 26 lbs so far and I feel great! I need to lose 35 lbs more and I'll be at my ideal weight. Getting there!!
Well done!! The only products I might buy from this at the moment are: Venus l/s Fire Sign l/s Cusp of Dawn l/s (maybe) Light Year msf Star Wonder msf Supernova m/b aaand Strictly Plutonic - dunno if I'd wear it too much but I just love the name so if it even kind of works for me I'll probably get it! Although this list will probably double itself when I see swatches :pp:

ignoring Liba... ~walks out of thread~
i've been avoiding this thread on purpose for the past few weeks, but somehow i've ended up in here, read a few posts, and now i'm super scared for july! it's going to be a heavy-hitter!
i love the mineralize stuff i have from the last couple of years....especially the recent blushes and eyeshadows. i was just making up my wishlists for mac and other brands for the next month, but i think i'm going to have to rethink a little so that i don't miss out on too much from this summer's mineralize...

the magenta and amethyst blushes are sounding most appealing, but from the shadows and the msfs i usually base my decisions on what the swatches look like, since the swirling makes all the difference!!
