I've just been hit with a crazy urge toskip most of the stuff from this collection. LOL I must be feeling ill!

It's a wee bit logical, however...

I have Flamingo, Reel Sexy, Razzledazzler + BUs of each. I own Costa Chic from the perm line - I think the addition of Pleasureseeker and Cut a Caper would be silly

Fire Sign sounds...mehhh as does Cusp of Dawn. By description alone I'm not really intrigued

Venus is the only lippie I'm eyeing, it sounds so pretty! But I also wonder its ability to be dupable ("pearlized pigments" aside).

Lightyear and Center of the Universe MSFs are still maybes. Not completely sold on them, either. If the gold shimmer is anything like Porcelain Pink, it might not be for me. Poor PP gets rather neglected.

I'm on the fence with this whole collection.... It feels so strange, after such a big MAC binge since Iris Apfel! I'm sure I'll snap out of it once I see swatches

I was actually feeling the same way... My collection of lippies has blown up since the start of this year!! But i'm still too afraid of missing out on a hidden treasure and having the dreaded "skippers remorse". I know eventually that will go away and i'll be ok with an item that is similar, then to feel like I need "the one" LOL!

Mine too! I started with 9 MAC lipsticks in September, and now I have almost 60 different shades lol, and BUs of at least a dozen of them. I think I'm just to the point where if I'm going to add more, they better be special
eyelove.gif
I'm not sure how many peachy/coral lustre formula lipsticks I need!

If I only get Venus of the lipsticks I'm sure it'll be because it is very special, rather than something I bought "just to have". Skipper's Remorse is one thing, but then I can just remind myself of the items I do have and shop my own stash

Thank you very much mac_aiken!

I will out check the Clarins cleanser because I do wear water resistent, high SPF everyday too.

And I will also try the cleansers Clarisonic offers.I think that the Gentle Hydro Cleanser might work for me.
i love phillosophy purity cleanser. that gets off all makeup too :) even waterproof stuff!

Haha! Yes, peachy/coral lusters are the stars of my collection as well! I don't have any back-ups... but my collection is about that big at this point too

. I do love being able to rediscover an item that has been neglected. A la stash shopping. LOL!

I think the Olay one is very different. The magic happens with the sonic movements, and none of the other products use the same technology. Can you order a Mia from Europe?

Having said that, I use my Mia worldwide and I didn't experience any voltage issues. I hope that helps.

I've also used my Mia in Europe with no problems. It says it's universal voltage so it should be OK.

This collection will be the death of me! Here's my list thus far: Pleasureseeker Venus Strictly Plutonic Meteoric Ring of Saturn Light Year Center of the Universe Obviously my list will change once I see swatches, but either way I can hardly wait!

It really depends on how my skin feels. On reactive days I use Eucerin Gentle Hydrating cleanser. It is gentle and soap free. I get it at the drugstore and love it. I also use Clarins Pure Melt which is an oil based gel. I wear ultra water resistant, high SPF sunscreens all year and a high SPF foundation in the summer time and it helps gently remove them (I use MAC Cleansing Oil on days that I don't use my Clarisonic). I hope to snag a sample of Rodial Glam Tox. Liba has such high praise for this one but it is pricey and I want to try it first. Really you can use any cleanser that works for your skin and has a bit of slip to it. I have a friend who uses Philosophy Purity Made Simple. My daughter uses one from Boscia. I have tried many that worked from drugstore to high end. You have to find what works for YOU.
I agree. I had some issue with abrasiveness and my Clarisonic initially until I found the brush that worked best for me. I advise people who feel their Clarisonic isn't working well for them to play with the brushes a bit. Nine out of ten times this helps and they grow to love it.
I am hooked on Rodial, but I'd say it's possibly overkill for younger skin. It IS extremely multi-purpose, which I love - no need for an exfoliant or a toner afterwards, gentle and restorative. It's an active cleanser, so I only use it in the morning (with a Clairsonic).

At night I still use my trusty Clarins Extra Comfort cream cleanser, which I used to use morning and night for nearly 15 years (until I needed to step things up to maintain my skin texture and tone, after I passed my early 40s). I'd probably not recommend a cream cleanser combined with a Clairsonic, though. A gel works better with the brush - less friction on your skin.

On Topic: I can't say the look in the promo pics is particularly wearable, but I always love a nice galaxy photo! Also, one thing that strikes me is that they were able to get such a defined cut crease from an MES - perhaps the colors that are less sparkle-textured are nice and crisp and pigmented for an MES! I'm certainly looking forward to Sky.

Thank you for the info on HG, Lou. I had asked about her as well. I do hope she will come back when time permits. I miss her & her little hints of what's to come.

And your so right, this will give me a chance to use the wonderful stuff I have already.
When I wasn't in a position to buy new makeup, the upside was that I got to use up quite a bit of my inventory. I don't know about you, but I usually have items that I like and that have been sitting around unloved, unused and just waiting to be rediscovered. I don't think I bought more than powder and a very occasional lipstick for at least 2 - 3 years but my stash saw me through. You're doing the right thing by putting your basic needs first. It's not easy to pass up on the things we love, but this isn't permanent.

I hope things get better for you soon.

I am going to grab VAE from this collection because I am on the hunt for a new exfoliator after the Lush one made me break out terrible!!!

Aside from that, it may be the only thing that I haul from this collection, money is tight with house number 2 now being sorted and the exciting news of our first baby! Lots of savings to do for the next few months
