my current favorite mascara is Tarina Tarantino Fleur De Lash...

previous favorites were the Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Volumizing...and Laura Mercier Full Blown...and Maybelline Full n Soft

I have been using Careprost on my lashes for the last 8-10 months so now they're super long... those are the ones that dont get spidery, gloopy, tangled, or crispy...

It's supposed to have a 16-hour wear time and come off with warm water but not with cold water, meaning you can swim in it and be okay. It's flake, humidity and sweat resistant as already mentioned but the wear time is much longer and the fact that it comes off with warm water makes it different. Maybe that's why it's hard to come off if you are using remover vs the warm water? I haven't tried it myself so just speculating. I like the new brush but I have yet to find my HG. I have tried everything and the fact that nothing works makes me sad. I think it's just because my lashes suck.

Does anyone know if there's a travel/trip collection this year? I have not heard anything. I am going to travel in 4 weeks and will be able to go to a duty free.

I kind of collect the travel palettes, too.

That would be great. Then they would not be sold out by then (when I travel) either!
I don't think the travel collections sell out too fast. I wouldn't worry too much.

If there are b/p again in the travel collection, I will definitely get a palette. I try to travel light, thus palettes are a welcome addition to my stash.

They make falsies for girls like us. I just don't have the patient to try every day. Loreal Voluminous false lash effect actually gives me a little volume and length. There is some combing involved to get the clumps out, but I can deal with that. No flaking and comes off easily with warm water. That being said, I will probably try the new mascara from MAC. I keep thinking they will get one right. Now, if I can just get it in brown...

Have you guys read on temptalia that Urban Decay also isn't cruelty free anymore? So stupid...i feel like in a year from now no brands will be cruelty free anymore. I really hope Urban Decay can get china to open their eyes about animal testing. And hopefully mac will be cruelty free again.

Yeah, I keep reading the comments on their facebook page, and on different blogs. It's crazy. Never would've expected this from UD.

I'm cynical and I don't believe they have any reasons other than making more money. I'm not that fussed about animal testing, I don't actually know which brands do or don't test on animals, but if they don't, then they should just be upfront about the reasons and not make up all that crap. Basically they want to conquer China and make more money. End of.

I like their open letter, though. That's how it's done, MAC! Communication with the customer is all that counts.

I think more and more companies will follow, though - they all want their share of the Chinese market.

That's how I feel about this too. Their statement is not very believable to me. I planned to repurchase the Primer Potion, but I'm not that attached to that brand, I'll just try another primer from another brand. Other than the UDPP I wasn't interested in their products anymore anyway.

If you haven't tried Too Faced Shadow Insurance, give that a go instead of UDPP, I really like it.

I'm also not really attached to the brand. I only have the naked palette and the BOS3. I like TFSI over UDPP so another vote for TFSI here!

I really hope somebody can change the mind of chinese people. It's so sad about the way animals are treated there. I have been there once and in one of the warehouses i've seen that they sold a ton of leather and fur. It was so scary to see.

im obsessed with extended play lash!!! how can you all not love it its amazing 8 hour wear! humidity proof. water resistant, flake resistant, comes off with soap and water. i love that if forms tubes around the lashes its lengthening mascara not thicking formula. its very wet formula that builds really nice. all the girls i work with love it. and all the customer love it
I have to agree with you - I love this mascara!! I was hesitant to buy it because I have disliked almost every mascara MAC has made, but this one is a really good mascara! The brush feels like it grips your lashes and you can literally feel your lashes lengthening when you apply this. (Does that make sense? haha) I have been on the hunt for a mascara that didn't flake and is easy to remove. I was using Cover Girl Lash Blast 24 Hr. that one is the most difficult mascara to remove ever! Even with waterproof remover. Anyway - mascaras work differently on everyone so if you've been curious to try it, I would say it's worth a shot.

I don't think the Chinese government will change their views any time soon. We are probably talking about years and years.

The only thing consumers, we, can really do - if we care about animal testing - is stop buying brands that do animal testing. This is the only logical conclusion that we can draw.

It does not help much to send this or that brand an email or bombard their facebook page if we continue to buy the products as if there is no tomorrow. There are certainly other brands that do not test on animals, though they will probably not as hip as MAC or UD.

Just to be clear, I am not pointing fingers at anyone, I am just pointing out the simplest solution that it out there.
