lucky! which pro store do u go to? I would think this new policy was for all stores and not just my store. sucks that I wouldn't be able to preorder unless I have the money before the release date

ive only bought red racer and ruffian red. I like red racer but it sooo bright. I'm really not use to that. I finally learned to pat it on lightly so im comfortable with it. I haven't got my ruffian order yet. I oredered the red and gold.
lilinah, Thank your time & for explaining this to me. I was thinking that it meant to look for swirls that have a lot of the color you want. Someone else said you want to look for predominate colors in certain products & some products color's u want to have more or less of. This is going to be tricky tho & perhaps $ saving, because if I swatch from a piss ass tester/swirl I may hate tanyway it comes out and not buy it. But if someone else gets it, puts their swatch on here & it looks 100% different than how mine did...it's just going to frustrating. I know what I'm thinking it's just not coming out clear. It's been a long few weeks and I've had some major insomnia. So I think I'll go to bed, even if it is to listen to my husband snore. So excited. Thanks for the secret lilinah! Have a good night.
I go to the store in downtown LA. I called right after reading your post and specifically asked about needing to buy a giftcard, etc. They had never heard of doing that.
My regular store had a particularly bad-swirls batch. I couldn't even make out the names of some of the products as there were almost no swirls, but just a muddy mess.
If you swatch in person, you will be able to figure out what swirls you like best. For example, for the MB's, I picked the ones with thicker colored swirls and thinner gold/bronze swirls to avoid glitter bombs. Swirl hunting can be fun as you can really pick a "custom" product if that makes sense.
That's what they told me in the pro store in cologne too! And when i went there a second time i had a pot and an empty pro pan and they wouldn't take it! I was like WTF you told me i could back to mac an empty pan and i even take a pot with it and you're not ok with it?!
It sucks it's really arbitrary like that. I only have one freestanding MAC store and I've only gone in there maybe 3 times. The last time I was there was in February when Iris Apfel came out, and the MUA there was such a sweetheart. The other two times I had a woman that was pretty scary and intimidating lol so I just worry when I go to B2M that she'll be the one working.
It might be that this particular store had bad experiences with people trying to B2M with fake pans.
