I'm so aNxious about Ruffian Red. I hated RR

Have you tried Russian Red? Red Racer and Ruffian Red look awesome on me but Russian I felt looked ok. Either way hope this RR works well for you!

Thanks Richelle. I tried it on Russian Red when the Fashion Sets were out & I did like it. I just forgot about it because we're constantly being inundated by all this LE stuff!

Maybe my lips are more sensitive than Temptalia's, but I do find Ruffian Gold to be gritty! Layered by itself I was like ee gads, just like sand. It's not uncomfortable or too annoying, but it definitely feels gritty to me.

Anyways. Lip swatches!


My lips without lipstick. I have prep + prime lip and Jack Black lip balm to hydrate.



Ruffian Naked. It's different. I'm undecided whether it makes me look dead, but there is a definite pink hue to it, and I think the beige in it is complementary. If I had a darker eye look it might be a-ok


Ruffian Gold. Me likey. I can forsee just using some balm and dabbing this ever so slightly in the center of my lips and good to go, out the door.


Ruffian Red. No lip liner or concealer, just straight from the tube. I thiiiiiink I'm in love with this red

Thanks I'm always weirded out by nudes, but this one seems to really cover up my lips, without canceling them out, so for those reasons I'm happy

Both Ruffian Red and Ruffian Naked are very smooth and not a drying matte formula. I also like that there's just a little bit of shine in them, too.

I think I might go buy 8 more Ruffian Reds now...lol. Well, maybe not that many, but I've fallen hard for this one, one BU won't cut it.

I think all 3 look great on you. Naked looks awesome in a earthy, hippie, natural look if that makes any sense.

I think Ruffian Naked looks fab on you! It doesn't look streaky like some nudes do. I think Karen from Makeup and Beauty Blog said it was a bit like Myth but it doesn't look like Naked sucks the color out of your face like Myth does.

Thank you! I'm warming up to RN. I'm just not used to wearing nudes all that often. My lips on their own are pretty pigmented, so to make them lighter just looks a little weird to me. I do like my Sweet Sunrise, too, it's a good starter-nude being a lustre!

I'm sooo glad RN doesn't look like Gaga2, I'm actually surprised at how much more peach Gaga2 and Lush Amber look by comparison.


Dang, I just realized I didn't swatch Naked Bliss with it. Darnity darn.

I've never tried Myth, but from what I've seen it looks like it's in the same ballpark as Saint Germain where very few can pull it off.
