Spanky, that's their company policy. $300 per purchase, no more than 3 of one item. It's nothing personal. My big haul had to be split into 4 transactions. I made them over 2 days. I paid cash for 2 transactions, check card for the other. Estee Lauder tries to keep the "Halo" effect - meaning that they limit what you can buy so it dissuades resellers. I've had to call their corporate office and fight because the one i normally shop at has a brush set for $450. In NY, it's illegal to have in writing the $300 policy, but then sell something for higher. I challenged them to sell me the brush set for $300 since, as I told them, the NY Attorney General would not look too kindly at their policy. Corporate said ok, but by then I was too pissed off and didn't want it. (of course, now I wish I had bought it!!) I would go in to your CCO and annoy them on purpose if they treated me that way. They should not have asked for ID. I have pictures of my 2 foot tall/8 drawer organizer on my phone and every CCO I go into I show them it so they see that it's just me being a MAC junkie. If there's something you are looking for, let me know and I can see if my CCO has it.

I think that way too at times. I could have absolutely no interest in an item. But the minute it sells out, I think what, it sold out?! There must be something special about it that I didn't notice before.

for some reason I am rethinking my preorder. since I technically already paid for it with a gift card, I can't return em. supernova is one of the items and I feel it would be too bright on me so I may sell. I also picked up the pink msf and am wondering if it will be too glittery for my skin. guess when I go to the store I will wear no makeup and out all this on my face lol

Good to know you like Earthshine. I'm a little nervous about my first MSF. From what I gleaned through this thread, I can use a MSF as a highlighter, bronzer, contour, blush and even eye shadow. I really like that this product can have so many uses. I made my first attempts at highlighting last week. I'm learning how to do my makeup in phases so I don't get overwhelmed. Baby steps.

I think that's the problem, you have no idea whether it's possible to sheer it out enough for it to be wearable.

Still can't make up my mind about wanting Earthsine, Light Year and Stratus or not. T's pics of wearing Earthsine make me think it won't work for me.
Yes, I think so too... I think I will get it anyway - if it really doesn't work, I guess I can sell it. It just looks so pretty and unique, I don't want to miss out!
