Ok let's talk about hate then since you used that word. Hate would be the people who call her ugly, say that she knows nothing about makeup, zooming in to see how discolored her teeth are say that Waterpik should give her a free system. No one has said that here but I have seen this with other forums. Saying how things don't look great on her or her swatches do not look accurate are not a reflection of hate, those are critiques. Please understand the difference.

Now back to swatches!!!
I've seen people insult her looks and say that she knows nothing about makeup on here, people have also called her a b and lied and said she stole stuff from the site, etc. It has been going on for years on here. Saying something looks horrible on somebody is a very rude thing to say. People have posted pics on here where stuff has definitely looked bad on them...did anybody on here say that it did? Ofc not...they always say it looks great no matter what it really looks like, same with swatches and stuff from other bloggers, some blogs have completely horrible swatches but again, people on here say they are great...so why only say bad things about 1 certain person and not anybody else? There seems to be nowhere left to go online where people aren't being bullied...it's very depressing, especially to somebody who doesn't have the option to go hang out with people in real life at the moment.

The saturation throws the color off, for sure. I will say she puts a lot of work swatching and reviewing, but I would love to see how a product would look on if it were applied "normally" ...

My Crew highlight powder is awesome and pigmented, and the only time it is powdery is if I get too enthusiastic while swirling my brush around. I dont get powdery if I just dab a brush onto it, so I smh'd a bit when I read T's review.

If people NOT talking trash about someone on the internet is depressing you then maybe you need a Specktra break, no? Just a thought. I think the we can stop beating the dead horse now.

I have actually never bought any MAC brushes! They are soo expensive haha and I guess I need to know which ones are worth the money and which ones I can dupe. I heard Sigma has good brushes but not familiar with their brand, either. I am def going to check out the 184 now, though. What brushes do you think are worth it?

I LOVE makeup but I'm no hardcore MUA. I try to perfect my techniques everyday, but sometimes I don't really now how to get the best out of a product! I am planning on getting Earthshine but not TOO sure on how I will use it haha. I am nw35 so not sure how it would look as a contour/blush/highlighter.
You could ask the MUA in the store if you can apply Earthshine with a 184 brush yourself. That way you can see if you're able to work with it. The MUA's should have all the brushes they sell in a brush belt so you can try them.
I love my Mac brushes. I have seen a lot of reviews on sigma brushes and from comparing pictures and vids of those and Mac brushes, the Mac brushes seem to be of better quality. You do pay more though so if you want to get Mac brushes depends on how much you want a good quality brush, Also deciding on which brushes you want to get depends on the looks you like to do.
I think the 239 and 217 are the most essential eye brushes, but if you have a basic paddle and blending brush that you really like they might not be worth it. Is there something that you like to do with your make up, but that you have problems with?

Solar Ray looks really good on her I think. Personally I just wouldn't apply the products that heavily.

I *think* they look bad because theyre just so heavily applied. Nothing looks great when its spackled on, really.

What I dont get is how there is "no Coral" in Center of the Universe. Her swatch looks coral to me, for sure. I dont see pink as the major color, and it is too light to be orange. It might be buildable to an orange finish though.

Not unless coral looks totally different from what I thought it has always looked.

I own quite a lot of MAC brushes, and I must say that I find the Sigma "dupes" not really comparable in quality. The sigmax brushes (F80, F82 etcetera) are very good though :)

Trying to do the exact same thing haha! But the gloss looks great on the blogger who you linked to. Sigh!

I'm trying to tell myself that there are a lot of other beautiful glosses coming out in the next months, for example the Cremesheen&Pearl ones, so I focus on the mineralize products, they are way more unique IMO.
Good point. Thanks for not enabling me hahaha :) What collections do you think will have the nicer LGs ? I wasn't really looking forward to Marilyn Monroe..

Liesierre, Stratus looks so beautiful on you that I think I will have to try it out! What did you use to apply it??

I have been wondering that! I'm being fickle/stingy with getting a MAC brush but with the quickness of lightening I'll buy a Sigma set

Since you own so many, can you give me some rec's for a few MAC brushes?

There is a huge difference between that and straight out insulting people and being completely rude because you hate them for no reason at all...and that is exactly what her and a few others do every single time. I don't go around calling people names and insulting them if they do something that is less than perfect in my eyes...it's called acting like an adult.

I honestly think there is a difference between a "statement of fact" and "insulting" or "name calling". But as stated before, this is all relative. Not everyone will like the same thing/person, and there will always be differences of opinion.

Other people are entitled to have their opinions, in the same way you are. If you keep on jumping in to defend someone because someone voiced out their opinion, this topic will be derailed.

Youve made it really clear that you are a fan. I believe other people who arent a fan have the right to be heard as well.
