I own quite a lot of MAC brushes, and I must say that I find the Sigma "dupes" not really comparable in quality. The sigmax brushes (F80, F82 etcetera) are very good though :)
I'm glad i didn't get a Sigma set and just enjoyed my Mac brushes:) Maybe I'll get some sigmax brushes, but i like my 130 for foundation, so maybe i don't need them.

I've seen people insult her looks and say that she knows nothing about makeup on here, people have also called her a b and lied and said she stole stuff from the site, etc. It has been going on for years on here. Saying something looks horrible on somebody is a very rude thing to say. People have posted pics on here where stuff has definitely looked bad on them...did anybody on here say that it did? Ofc not...they always say it looks great no matter what it really looks like, same with swatches and stuff from other bloggers, some blogs have completely horrible swatches but again, people on here say they are great...so why only say bad things about 1 certain person and not anybody else? There seems to be nowhere left to go online where people aren't being bullied...it's very depressing, especially to somebody who doesn't have the option to go hang out with people in real life at the moment.
I can honestly say that I've seen a couple people be flat out rude about T on these forums (also saw him/her tweet something rude about some Specktrettes) but those people haven't been active in this thread in quite some time. So while your statement has some merit, I don't feel like it should be targeted towards the people who are merely stating their opinions on what does/doesn't look good on T.

Just got my black box.just started with stratus and earthshine. Stratus is soo soo pigmented. It is like a 500x intensified version of nars love joy. Even woc have to be careful with this one but I am really I pressed with the quality now I am bummed for not getting supernova. Earthshine didn't get a really nice swirl mostly brown and gold with very little of the darker color. However not shimmery at all a would be an excellent bronzer.my next step might be an mes however will wait for a free shipping code.

The 130 was one of my favorite brushes until I got the F80. Wow...

I just ordered some travelling sets and I heard that the quality of those is comparable to the full sized ones. Overall, I find them rather crappy. They keep bleeding when I wash them and their version of the MAC 165 totally misses its purpose. Some brushes are fine though, but the Sigmax brushes are among my faves...

Edit: correct, I meant the 138.

I agree! I have a couple of Sigma brushes and the Sigmaxx line is pretty good, especially the line of small, detail brushes. The rest of the supposed MAC dupes arent all that great - the 224 dupe sheds like crazy, and the 168 dupe's brush head is already loose after 2 washings. Sad.

NAILS still works for overnight shipping.

I have to use a seriously big powder brush for Stratus and Earthshine. Made the mistake last night of using Earth with a regular powder brush. No bueno!

I feel like there's also the element of how things feel when swatched vs how they work on the eye. I almost passed on the Evil Eye palette after reading her and some other popular blog reviews but there were a handful of ladies who loved it. And it's true that some shades in that palette really look like shite when swatched but I don't have problems with it in use. To be fair, she reviews so many things that she wouldn't be able to put it all into action. I've learned to take all reviews with a grain of salt.

I have been wondering that! I'm being fickle/stingy with getting a MAC brush but with the quickness of lightening I'll buy a Sigma set

Since you own so many, can you give me some rec's for a few MAC brushes?
Well, depends on what you intend to use them for. What type of brush are you looking for?

I can name some of my faves, but depending on what you need them for I will give some alternatives.

Amongst my faves is the 165 (I think it is on pro only)
The 182 of course for buffing out powder / blush
I rarely use the 184, but it is the best fan brush I own.
The 168 waaaaay better than Sigma's version, I think..

Lemme think and do give me some ideas of what you're looking for.

Did you order your brushes from sigma directly or from a dutch site? Now i'm interested in the F80. Also do you prefer the flat top F80 or de rounded top F82? I feel like I would use them all for the same thing, so I don't want to get them all.
I'm not sure if you told already, but what are you going to get from HC?

It's the same deal with the Shop/Cook palettes. The rating on those palettes werent all that awesome, but I bought them anyways. Im glad I did because those palettes are pretty great - really pigmented and easy to work with for the most part. Out of the 12 eyeshadows in the 3 palettes, only one disappointed me.

IMO, Sigma brushes are good "starter" brushes. The set I have is pretty decent. It definitely doesn't compare to MAC but really you get what you pay for. I'm slowly starting to add more MAC brushes into my collection but it's hard when I'm spending all my money on LE collections haha.

I do LOVE the sigmax brushes!
