MAC Heavenly creature discussion

Well, my package arrived today.

LOVE Magnetic Attraction. Mine is mostly orange so quite different from Expensive Pink. I like Strictly Plutonic a lot too. It's almost a nude on me - MLBB. It doesn't really add a lot of colour but I really like the CSG finish.

I HATE Cut a Caper. Ugh. I didn't think there was a coral I could hate. I was wrong. My lips are pigmented enough that it barely shows; it certainly doesn't add colour, just fades them out slightly and not in a flattering way. Don't like the finish, don't like the colour. My teenage daughter likes lustres, so I walked into her room and tossed it on her bed. Hopefully she likes it. And yes, I suppose I could make it work with liner and l/g, but why bother? I'd rather layer Ravishing l/g over liner.

I'm sorry I didn't get Fire Sign instead; I think the sheerer finish would have been ok with a deeper colour. It's hard to tell on a computer screen, but the colour reminds me a bit of Keep It Casual.

Oh well.

Can't always guess right.

Supernova is so pigmented!! I was surprised! I love it :eyelove:
It looks super pigmented but we can make it work with a good brush lol. I have nothing like it in my collection since I dont tend to buy such intense blushes, but hey if I got Eartshine I can get Supernova right? :p

I just read T's reviews.. seems she is comparing MAC to TFord.. err, there is about a $ 30 difference.. and that makes for a lot of very good pigments to NOT get put in.. as well as other goodies which help with application and such.

I think she is pod that she had to buy here stash this time.. lol

MA and Center of The Universe look quite close in your swatches.

Maybe like how ED Sweet Heat and Superb were close? Hmmmmm....

Swatched on NW15-20 skin tone

MESs: Universal Appeal, Earthly, Neo Nebula, Magnetic Attraction (No Base)

MSFs: Center of the Universe, Earthshine, Light Year, Star Wonder

Well crap.

T's swatches have definitely made me want Fire Sign and Venus. Damnit.

Can anyone with Ring of Saturn tell me how "glittery" it is? Would I have to be careful to make sure it doesn't accentuate my pores? I love the colour but I really have to make sure it's something I would use, otherwise it would be a waste of money for me which I can't afford.
I just got mine like 5 seconds ago & its really beautiful! Its NOT glittery, but it is glowy, I'm getiing ready to go out so I'll wear it & after I get my face on I'll let you know how it does with my pores(I am normally very sensitive to things that make my pores look bigger so I don't buy MSFs anymore)

Thank you! I hope it works out because it's such a gorgeous colour. It'd be my first MB and as I *have* to buy online as there isn't a local store I really need to make sure it'll be worth it. Fingers crossed! :)

Well I got back early but the sun gave out on me right when I went out to take pics

I hope these are at least somewhat useful.

Water mes
Bright Moon
In this next pic the first three swatches are BM dry, wet and wet over a black base. The next three are Water dry, wet, then wet over a black base. The next one is Water wet again and the last one is Clarity mes wet for comparision.

I only did BM over black b/c I knew I would do Water over it but BM doesn't have the sparkle that Water does. Using BM wet makes it lighter and brinks out a little bit of twinkle. Water is similar to Clarity but Clarity is more grey whereas Water has a dirty green base. Water has the same kind of opalescent sparkle that Clarity has, except it's finer so it's not as in your face. Water was a little gritty but I didn't notice sparkle going everywhere, like with Young Punk or something. Sorry my pics are wonky.

Fire Sign - I love it! Its a really really pretty dark pinked red. Great for the red-lip faint of heart. And, its a lovely everyday red.

OK, maybe I need this after all... Elegant, how does it compare to some of the other reds in your collection? Surely I don't need another red lipstick... I noticed T said it was close to Guerlain's Grenade, although the finish is different.

OK, its on! Its definitely glowy, not shimmery or glittery. In fact the only shimmer/glitter on my face is from fall out of my eyeshadow, lol. Its a really pretty color. Because I am overly critical I do think it makes my pores look a little larger than usual, but its not to the point that I won't wear this again or that it is any issue, its very smooth & pretty. I am not usually one to enable, but I say get it! I think you'll like it

Earthly is nothing like I thought it would be, it's grey with a satin finish and tiny gold sparkles. It can look dirty, so I'm not sure yet how I will wear it. But it's pretty and unique! I have nothing like that in my collection.
