MAC Heavenly creature discussion

Hi guys! I joined Spektra just to get in on this wonderful thread. I've been reading since about Page 1 =).

I didn't know about HC until I received a fateful email from MAC the moment it was released online. I have not been excited about a collection since Naturally. I've only bought about 3 MAC items at one time, so when I threw down for this collection...I knew it would be life changing! And it really is! This forum helped me get acquainted with the colours and catch in on all the excitement. For a girl with brown skin, you never know what will look good on you. The fact that 3 of the MBs, 2 MSFs, 2 ES, 1 CS, 1 LS look good on me...I'm ecstatic! I just tried on Star Wonder and Venus on. LET ME TELL U about how great of a glow this gives. I may give pics of my swirls if you ladies like =).

I'm ready for a second Heavenly Creature release MAC! We want more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

OK... UGH! I did a really pretty FOTD using some of these products. BUT, I can't seem to get them to photograph the way they appear IRL. So, this is the best I could capture. I really wanted to convey how gorgeous these MSF's are! I used Earthshine as a contour with a fan brush and LY as a highlight/blush and it was just SO glowy and pretty. Made my face look very vibrant and not too shiny or shimmery!
UA on my lid blended in the crease with Texture. Mineral Mode inner tearduct highlight. VENUS (OH, how I LOVE you!) on my lips.

Here's my attempt to show how it looks... It's SO bright and sunny here it's really washing everything out. The eyes are SO much more bold and stand out IRL. Oh well...

My lighting was kinda crappy tonight. They are both so much prettier on than the pics can show.

Now I want RoS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That swatch looks perfect! OMG...looks like I may be making a 5th purchase with this collection....ohh boy!

Funny you say that......I put on Fire Sign with Astral on top and almost smelled strawberries, that's how juicy it looks.

This collection is just nutso bananas!!

I just ordered RoS and a backup of the exfoliator...pheww...I have spent way more on this collection than I thought I would

I was one of the people that mentioned using Earthshine as an eyeshadow.  Other people that were ending up with ones that were not suiting them for use on their face were using them as eyeshadows and happy with the results.  I thought that was a genius idea!  I got a huge burgundy swirl one from my online order and wanted to go back for one with less that would suit me better.  But I was happy to know I could keep the first one to use an eyeshadow palette per say.  That way I didn't feel bad about returning it or it being unused.  It's always great to have options with makeup!  Like the Powder to the People compact from Beth Ditto... no one could figure that one out until they realized it could be used on face AND eyes!  So that made it more versatile for people. Now, I can totally understand skipping Earthshine if it didn't suit you for the face... but for those that ended up with one... using it as an eyeshadow is a great option!  And $29 dollars for 3 gorgeous eyeshadow colors is very reasonable in my opinion.

No, I don't know of a great one in Austin, BUT Dallas has a great PRO store in North Park mall.

I was in Dallas from June 20 to 24 for work so I wasn't able to go to the PRO store I am thinking of getting a more purple SW, we'll see

I cracked. Went to the mall yesterday and finally picked up the MSF I was missing, Star Wonder, and a Backup Center of the Universe.

I think this is my favorite collection in the past 3 years.

And I agree with most of you looking at swirls is time well spent!
