Woohoo. Your MUA sounds great. :)
Yes she is and it was a different MUA than the one that helped me saturday. All the MUAs at my counter are awesome!

Agreed. If I get a BU of Solar Ray, it'll be my first BU ever. The only products I've ever used up so far have been foundation, powder, eyeliner, and mascara. All staples for everyone and not the actual frills of makeup.
I felt safe backing it up for several reasons.
1) The consistency seems softer than the others and I thought it may go down faster. I've had some shadows that do that, disappear in no time.
2) I was using a whole brush full as opposed to something like Modern Mandarin blush which you need a tiny speck.
3) I thought it would be a summer staple.

Shellcat,

I hunted down Warm Blend when it was released and picked up the last one at a Macy's 30 miles from my house.

Needless to say I turned my sister on to it and she fell head over heels. Anyway - I tracked it down at an outlet and purchased 6 or 7. I have 2 left, my sister has gone through 2 and working on her last one, my niece has worn out 2. Best shade ever.

As for Petticoat - It took about a year and a half to use one because I wore it every day in some capacity: highlight, blush, etc. Didn't matter what colors I was wearing - I wore Petticoat. Now I have 2 and I'm happy!

Haha Pinkdollface, did you call around noon? I was at the Counter back then and somebody was swirl hunting for Light Year and Star Wonder by phone. That must have been you. I couldn't resist my HC hunger and bought Magnetic Attraction (never should have swatched it, it's so lovely!), Earthly and Center of the Universe. I've asked the MUA to apply CofU on the one cheeck and Stratus on the other. We both did like CofU, but Stratus didn't suit me. I bought Pleasureseeker as well. Now I am officially done, however, Celestial Kiss is calling my name...... (it is nice on top of Pleasureseeker).

Liba, I've swatched the see green colour of Bright Moon, but is was too cool for me. The tester of water didn't contain any green, so I could not check the lovely shine you were referring to.
The tester definitely reminded me of my Jade's Fortune, so I decided to skip as I also own Unsurpassable. You mentioned that Water with lots of blue veining is quite similar to JF and you are absolutely right. Thanks very much for your help.

Ahoythere, I was the one asking for your baby. Thanks very much for your warm welcome!
You were a very big fan of the Semi Precious collection just as I was and I could have written your post about lying wide awake during the night thinking about al the beautiful SP veining myself, haha. For that reason I really was curious about your baby! I am really happy you got a healthy boy. Yeah, small children are really time consuming but like you I also make time to do my make up every single day.

Just wanted to post some comparison swatches for y'all!
Top to bottom is: Perfect Topping, Refined, Light Year, Stereo Rose. I can't believe how pigmented Light Year is compared to Stereo Rose!!!!

And this is my Earthly. It is awesome that the dark brown and the gold can be used independently of the center mix......

I hope you gals that depot your mineralized products will let us know how it goes. it's agreat idea for space saving, but I'm kinda scared to do it! maybe I need to practice on more of my ordinary blushes until I'm more confident! an mua told me when I went in to buy these eyeshadowsstat since they are so fragile she recommended traveling with them in their cardboard box...for those who are traveling with them, hope that helps!

Aradhana, next week I am going on holidays but I will just leave my mineralized stuff at home to be on the safe side. Last year I "lost" Golden Gaze MES that way.

Thanks for the swatches, Ahoy There. I love, love, looove Lightyear

I don't think a cardboard box will help much. When you carry mineralize products in your bag (or worse, your suitcase), they will get traumatized resulting in micro fractures that inevitably will cause the product to break over time.

If you are skilled at depotting, I'd say go for it (saving space sounds awesome!) but leave your MES/MSF/MB at home when traveling. I hope that cosmetic companies will develop a technology that makes mineralize products less fragile. I really like MSF's for the beach, but it's just not worth it.

I also had to say good-bye to a few mineralize products that went on holidays with me. Never again! Replacing much-loved products is time consuming and expensive. Better safe than sorry.
