electric cool eye shadow

Aradhana, What have you been using as a base for the ECESs? Are you using them in your crease too? I just did the look with Superwatt on the lid and 3 or 4 other shadows from the crease up. Also, what brush are you finding works best for the application or are you using your finger? I love these, such cool colors! MAC has really done some cool releases with these, ED collx & the HC MSFs! Hope you are doing well!
I've been using tfsi as a base. i found without it there's slight migration/creasing...but it was also crazy hot/humid that day....i use my finger for applying these shadows for the most part. i used a brush to line my eyes with coil, but i kind of prefer the 'impressionistic' look i've mentioned elsewhere... :) i'm super impressed with all these collections this year. pretty much every one has been a hit for me. perhaps the least has been extra dimension, but not because it wasn't good...just maybe less exciting for me than the others this year.

i had never swatched/used the l'oreal infallible shadows previously, and yesterday i swatched a few in the store...i found the consistency is not really like these mac shadows...the mac ones are more spongey somehow...yet not moussy....can't explain better than that!

Ok... So..... What should I order???

I'm so confused! Each one I pick I find a way to justify not getting it.

I only got a few eyeshadows... Coil, Superwatt, Fashion Circuit, and Highly Charged. I plan to get a few more later if I like the formula.

Coil, Superwatt and Electroplate

I did have Fashion Circuit on my list but after looking through my non powder eyeshadows, I DO have Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Edgy Emerald and don't use that one much ... so I went with colors that I was sure I would use!

Also, because they were in my cart, I did grab two more HC MES too :)

My 14 year old says, "Not even close."

The top is Sweet Heat, bottom Superwatt

The third pic has flash.

Wow, Superwatt looks very similar to Nebula pigment, which is pretty much the most flattering highlight and barely there nude colored eyeshadow I own. I can't wait to try it out.

I've got a question for people who've tried these out - how is the texture as far as smoothing out the texture of your eyelid skin?

The best thing about the Big Bounces was that it sort of formed a second skin on top of your lids, eradicating any wrinkles or crepe-iness. Most pale shimmery colors accentuate my eye texture, so anything that goes on very smoothly and slickly would be instant love.

I am glad to read reviews on these as well because that is what was making it hard to decide what I wanted out of this collection but I am planning to get

Infra-violet
Brilliantly Lit
Fashion Circuit

I am a bright makeup girl at heart and have only brought neutrals to use on my clients.... these colours got me drooling straight away!

bright makeup, too. I happened to go to the bank on a day where I did a complete eye look with oranges, purples and golds. A lady working at the bank commented that my makeup was "very colorful" and I wasn't sure how to take it. She said it in a way where I couldn't tell if it was a compliment or not. I just smiled and said thank you.

I'm so bummed out that these eyeshadows won't be released here.:nope: And the prices on eBay are horrible. I really want a few.

For anyone having trouble deciding which colour to get

I find

Blacklit, Pure Flash and Superwatt are not that exciting -- I did get Superwatt for an easy look

Infraviolet, Dynamo, Fashion Circuit and Briliantly Lit are the "out there" shades -- I got Dynamo and FC and LOVE them both. I really liked IV but can't see wearing that colour around my eyes

Coil, Electroplate and Switch to Blue were all lovely. I prefer my blue from ED, the coil was VERY bronze and Electroplate seemed similar to other silvers I have.

Highly Charged I have not seen but I WANT.

Hope this helps a bit.

I was happy AND sad to read this... You basically enforced what I had already thought, that most of the shades I want are not that unique and are dupable. BUT for some CRAZY SPECKTRA-Induced reason, I stillllllll am going to get the 4 on my list. I guess I'm hoping the formula makes them interesting despite the fact I'm sure I have colors VERY close in my collection already!
I'm looking to pick up Superwatt, Coil, Electroplate, and Infra Violet
Thanks for the info lyseD, at least I know what I'm getting myself into now! HeeHee
